 VGA cable vs Component cable, Which is the best?

Helo, i might be getting a new lcd tv. I would like to know what is the difference between VGA and Component. Furthermore, can you guys tell me which is better? ty

VGA and component are both analog signals. VGA is for PC and Component is for consoles and other video equipment like DVD players.

Forget it, make sure u buy a HDTV with at least 3 HDMI input...1 for XBOX and 2 reserved. for future. HDMI gives the best results.

IN THEORY, both should give out display of similar quality. BUT after so many testings and playings with variety of cables on the 360, I PERSONALLY find that VGA is clearer.

Confirm is VGA better, i have test component n vga on my Dell 2408 WFP, VGA are more clear.

VGA can output at 1080p, compenent can't.
But of course, HDMI is the best. Just sucks that us old XBox owners are screwed because we don't have a HDMI port sad.gif

Mine is the old xbox(no HDMI output). So VGA is better suited for that?
