Whether it's a ban towards top teams or not , I don't see a difference.

QUOTE(LoNeLy-Zhai @ Mar 15 2010, 10:47 PM) The teams in the league doesnt just show their pro-ness in skills, but also in their attitude as well.sR^ might be daring to enter the league with the chance of embarrassing themselves, but they are willing to compete, to take on challenge and to learn from the best. They are not afraid to lost. This is the attitude to be the best. Plus they can cash some money out. I hope that more teams can cultivate this attitude but unfortunately most Malaysian are afraid of losing, afraid of embarrassment and jst being kiasu to d max. Prefer to tapao noobs in g@ren@ only. When see got pro teams in any tourney, its better dun hv any tourney at all. I would like to call upon all the people who have doubts on this to join the league instead, and see if u can even last till the end of the season. But as always, its easier said than done ^^ |

I'm pointing towards KiLLing-z2 for specifying that banning top teams for most of the tourneys makes the other teams not to play on tourneys that doesn't ban them which I don't think it's true as whether they do ban or not it'll be the same due to of what you've pointed , malaysian kiasuness. The tradition of banning top teams doesn't affect on one's way of thinking.

but its unfair to just ban top teams perhaps they should follow Singapore's style where when a player wins a tournament their rating would increases.. and if they loses rating would decrease...
where 1500 is average ... and their tournament rules normally is like banned 1520 rating above, or 1530 rating above etc and they have their admin who keep track of players PSR.. but ofcourse the best would be no ban at all.. but if u want to ban might as well ban fairly and systematicly.. imagine u just joined Ks without winning a single local tournament and u already get banned! ... anyway really interested too join this compe la but too bad its at kl and take few weeks of gameplay... very difficult for us to come down to kl every weekend |

I believe that there is nothing wrong in having Amateur tourney.. its a good platform for newbies to exp the competitive play...
But no matter what there must be balance between Amateur & Pro tourney... for the moment there is too many amateur tourney and wat was the intention of it? Is it really to support the community? Or was there another hidden attention behind it? Should the organizer be blame on this solely? No, it is the fault of the players as well. With more demand & participation of Amateur tourney, there will be more supply for that. Basic rules of economic, demand & supply. So it is very important that the players themselves understand that this Amateur tourney exist to support the newbies, not winning fast cash then when kena ban form a new clan n start all over again. There must be a platform for both amateur & pro players to play. If the community only goin to support the Amateur players then foreva we will be an Amateur community ^^ |
