kingston normal USB drives are the easiest to read..unless its very high capacity or extreme performance type.

Corsair is different thou...some are really power hungry that you might need a external powered USB hub to it even though its only a thumbdrive.

Afaik, I've experiment thumbdrives with a lot of player...once you plug it to a powered hub 100% of the thumbdrives could be read, even USB powered HDD...the rest depends on the content inside whether the player can play it or not...try putting pictures in instead of a movie.

Try also SanDisk 4GB Cruzer Micro...if your player can't even play that, i dunno what to say...either your player only uses Sony USB or it port is broken...both are highly unlikely.

ohh..I forgot, make sure you disable any password thing...but if the USB has higher level security hardware password and encryption, then i will not play it.

Why you don't check the spec properly before you buy the player. The Sony USB port is not for playing any media files. It's only for use as memory storage for BD Live feature.

By default the thumb drives are FAT32 tailo!. No need to format to specific FAT system. Btw, bro.. Kingston TD is the best option and your file *.mkv should play..

Already said the Sony S360 USB port can't play media files (not even MP3) and you are talking about playing .mkv shakehead.gif

You didn't get it, don't you? doh.gif
Your USB port is only for BD-Live feature only, not for playing any media file. Please check your manual.

Maybe need simple english to explain or less technical terms then can understand. Manual do mention it's for BD Live feature ONLY but wondering why ppl still ask such question. Most ppl nowadays never bother to read the manual before using. doh.gif doh.gif
