Sorry for not checking v24 posts, I saw in FP 2nd page there's a method to hack v40 fw using phoenix suite.

Is it safe to hack using this method? XM u tried already?

So that means my firmware will change during the process? Hmm helloox is still more reliable i think... afraid using phoenix later flashing failed will brick my phone...

XM, I would like to try flashing my tube and hack it... But i definitely need chinese language support, 8th feb firmware got chinese? can u confirm it?

And if i use the 8th feb firmware, do i still need to download the v40.0.005 folder? If need, just overwrite the original firmware in v40.0.005 with the custom one?

So the first firmware is like normal firmware la, without additional fancy stuff like special effects etc right? So that one got chinese? Functions the same as normal v40.0.005 except it's hacked?

Oh 1 more question, if hardreset after flashing, the hack still intact right?

It's okay to reinstall rompatcher+ as long as it's hacked. BTW in case new firmware (maybe v40.0.100 etc) is released by nokia, can we update it?

If yes i will flash to this... if not i will flash to the 1st hacked one which supports chinese...

It's chinese PRC for default nokia and it's the language we use to type chinese in pc too.

Great one XM! i like the font =D but with that font the chinese characters will be unreadable cuz there's no chinese words inside =( Use back my own modded calibri =D

there's no such variant but i think you can custom make it?

Added on February 22, 2010, 5:16 pmv40.0.005 can't be hacked using helloox2, u need to hack it by flashing it with phoenix/JAF with a hacked firmware. refer to FP page 2 for more info, and currently XM is making his own XFW (xploit's firmware) and we are all waiting for it
