anyone facing the wireless WLAN is intermittent detect WLAN service in the WiFI area?

right now i am sitting in the floor that cover with WiFi signal, the HP laptop detected the signal strength 75%-100% (majo time FULL bar), however the 5800xm wireless intermittently detect the signal.

i) how to fix it or optimize the setting to get better signal?

ii) if i do need setup SDID "guest", how to set it in my 5800xm?

i do some video mp4 conversion 640x360, when play at tube, found the video is not fully fit 640x360 because seeing left and right have black gap, is it i use the wrong ratio setting during video conversion?
