Tapi kalau guna steering wheel, boleh gunakan technique 'trail-braking'. Teknik ni digunakan oleh top drivers seluruh dunia - effectively you can go deeper into a corner without loosing speed.

imho these are good braking / corner taking techniques :

i. If you here tyres screeching - meaning you are taking the corners too fast or locked your brake up. To remedy this just simply adjust the brake balance (front / rear) or just brake earlier.

ii. try to steer smoothly into the corner - smooth like Button. Too much counter steering is not good.

iii. in FF cars, braking helps the weight transition helps the front tyre traction. for FR / RR, quick weight transition would lead to the back end want to step out. In MR & 4WD cars this is not a major problem, imho.

PS - Time aku kat shift still stands ke?

If they would have just left the controller in red with a single HKS logo, the controller would have looked so much better.
No idea how good it performs yet, but if anything... wouldn't be any better than the DS3.

Hmm...to get the steering wheel is a big no no. Besides, I'm getting married this October. Definitely my future wife aka ministry of finance would make noise.

In my previous GT3 & GT4 gaming, I'm quite comfortable using DS game pad. Can laydown/bermalas-malasan on the couch lazily while overtaking cars at high breakneck speed & surviving that sharp corners. whistling.gif biggrin.gif

Good cornering tip which everybody knows about it already: Slow in, fast out. cool2.gif

but GT5 physics aint the same as GT3/GT4. The one i sampled at TGS, is closed to PC's sim racing physics.

You certainly can still play with a controller.
But trust me, you won't be enjoying it as much as you did with GT3 and GT4.

They've pretty much overhauled the entire physics engine.

If you're considering the best bang for your money, no doubt it's the Logitech Driving Force GT (DFGT). It is afterall the official wheel for GT5.

The gated gearbox on the G27 might gives you realism but when it comes to racing simulation, sequential gearbox will delivers faster lap time with less margin of error compared to gated gearbox.
