sniper, nice tones.. now you can work a bit on composition

the 1st pic with the lanterns, you could use a smaller aperture to bring the moon at the background more into focus, and at the same time wouldn't blow out the highlights on the right lantern.

I see your aperture is quite small. Try reducing your aperture number.

I'm using the Canon's picture style... some taiwan fella's custom "300" style.

Jeremy, I think you do not understand what HDR is. Both your pics do not resemble anything remotely HDR.
