Er.. Which part? The background?

Went korek my old RAW files and redo the cropping and leveling.

This looks better than the last one? (both are from the same RAW file actually)

The background is underexposed.
Bump up the darkness and fill light in LR.

I use the long end of the kit zoom and shot the subject on a very sunny day to obtain a good shutter speed and well lit subject.

For aperture stop down to F8 and spot metering. Post process the raw in lightroom, used preset, adjust black, shadow area and lastly used selective colour
saturation to get yellowish flower buds.

That's about it. Hope that helps.

I tot you mean the dandelion at first. sweat.gif
Not sure why you want the background to be brighter. It'll make the main subject wash out IMHO. It's all bokeh there anyway.

Cause it makes the whole photo looks underexposed.
That's my 2 cents anyway smile.gif

Jealous everyone taking nice sunset pics. Only to realise post processing played such an important role.

Does it look nicer with a 'cooler' WB (#1), or a 'warmer' WB(#2)? Is it overcooked?

I dunno how to compose a sunset shot. Any inputs?
