Hi,

I mod my modem Riger 102 and WRT54GL with external fan, my problem is, when fan is on my modem and router not working, internet connection seen drop and if if off it internet connection back to normal, just wonder why it happens koz i not tweak + mod anything INSIDE but all outside . i used external adapter to switch on the fan. not direct from modem/router or from computer. Hope can get any idea from guy here. thanks

Now i detect my problem, all about EMI, i change all fan power cable from back to front and problem solve. Coz at back alot off lan cable there and effect my signal when power fan on. tq all who try read and maybe try give me idea

if u search this section ull find a topic regarding the same mod...cant remember where already....but search this section urself...

wat they did was tap the fan opwer directly to the router's PCB by soldering the cables to the right position.

got some even connected the fan's LEDs to the router LEDs so the LED will blink together with the router...

madman tq, now my problem solve by change power cable from back to front, if i want change it to back what i need to do ? i mean want setup it more nicely when power cable at back

bro, don't use external power and waste more electricity and make everything messy. follow the link below. power will be sucked from your router.
