This type of market would surely boost the demands for health food or supplements.

Honestly,I think this year is very volatile throughout.
The danger is Market or mother shares could sink super low at the time CWs are expiring. Chances that Mother shares could rebound much later , but could be too late. Then CWs would be turning into toilet papers. Skill is needed though. This post has been edited by SKY 1809: Feb 6 2010, 09:51 AM |

Is KNM take over price too low basing on 3 years averaged PE ?
Should be at least 95sen to RM 1.19 ? Judge your own. For the purpose of sharing only and not responsible for your losses if any. This post has been edited by SKY 1809: Feb 8 2010, 10:20 AM Attached File(s)

Market good or bad, there are still companies making better profits as they progress.
You are still able to locate some good undervalued stocks to invest. These companies as the time goes by, would start to show their true fair values. The above may not apply to buy goreng stocks. There is always Hope and Fear in the market. Another 9/11 might be happening also. Why your buying decision is so much affected by the problem in Greece, if the company is fundamentally sound ? Knowing what you want to achieve is important. This post has been edited by SKY 1809: Feb 9 2010, 09:55 PM |

QUOTE(duckaton @ Feb 9 2010, 10:13 PM) Panlai We have diff investing style, so no point to argue as there is no right and wrong way to invest. Now, ponder on these You are still able to locate some good undervalued stocks to invest. The reason they are undervalued for you to buy is because they dropped. If they can drop they can make you lose. These companies as the time goes by, would start to show their true fair values. Why dont show their true fair value now? They dropped. Why your buying decision is so much affected by the problem in Greece, if the company is fundamentally sound Chain reaction, everything is correlated and connected. Unless you are north korea or lebanon etc #1 rule in stocks is buy low sell high. It is never to buy and hold. http://www.klse.com.my/website/bm/bursa_ba..._rules/buy.html P/S Then again, I might be wrong. P/SS Go ahead, buy some stocks tomolo. You might get lucky aka catching the dead cat. Buy Low and Sell High ? Quite an outdated theory. I would rather buy low bocs of valuation ,not the price. The sharks are buying low now, but when the market is hot, they would sell to you at higher prices. So your prices are still much higher than their prices. They could push a PN17 co to very high price, and could you manage to buy at lower prices than them if you do not even know ? Again diff investing style, so it is a waste of energy to argue more. |

QUOTE(sharesa @ Feb 9 2010, 10:33 PM) What Bursa quoted is plainly general. It is not as simple as it projects. 101% agree with you.Who doesn't know that trading stocks means buy low sell high. Talking about buying low and selling high, how low is low and how high is high? To gather this for common people like us is to study the company and find the intrinsic value of the company by reading their news , financial reports and calculating their PEs, etc. "It is never to buy and hold" this statement is overrule. But if "it is never to buy and hold forever", then it makes sense. Most people make their bucks with buying and holding stocks, just one example is the pioneer shareholders of Public Bank Berhad. And many of our forummers who bought stocks last year and held on till this year are enjoying surplus capital appreciation. They can choose to sell now as our index has reached quite high. But, if for example , as you mentioned, if they keep on buy low sell high with the similar stock, say since last year, I don't think they can earn much, they may probably lose out in dividends, lose more to commission and fees and most importantly it is very hard to time the market. They might lose all. Buy low and sell high price wise , is only " correct " if there is a floor and ceiling price. Do not forget the fundamental of a co is ever changing from weak to strong or vice versa. This post has been edited by SKY 1809: Feb 9 2010, 10:39 PM |

Meaning to say, if company has excess shareholder fund, it can issue bonus share using that. The issued bonus then will become part of the share capital and reduce the RE or reserves aka left pocket right pocket things Added on February 10, 2010, 10:17 am They will first pray hard Spain can hang on until crisis past All investors all over the world would have to pay for " TOO BIG TO FAIL ", one way or another. |

QUOTE(htt @ Feb 10 2010, 10:30 AM) Spain definitely fall into the group of " TOO BIG TO FAIL ", unlike Greece or Portugal If you discount the mass dilution of lot of money printed for circulation worldwide , the Stock Markets do not really go up a lot.No worry, print more money only I mean the real value of money might drop a lot. If you take out more sudsi and impose VAT, our money could be in negative ( less value than before ). |

QUOTE(protonw @ Feb 10 2010, 10:39 AM) Sharks could have pushed this stock to look " bullish" to clear their positions. Unless you know the background of this company well, rm 1.50 might not be deemed cheap. Judge your own. |
