lol usually market up 10 points everyone will be busy talking what to buy.... today's discussion is somewhat different..
all in beruang mode...

i dunno how they can fix the imbalance in European Union....

The main 2 groups:

Rich Countries that are getting out of recession, ready for rate hike or inflation will strike:
Germany, France, Netherlands, Belgium..

Countries that are not doing so well, rate hike will kill their still weak economy:
Greece, Portugal, Spain, Italy..

u guys are buying to trade or convert ? i tot to convert u need to have the same amount of mothershare ? 1:1 ?

~the exercise of rights doesnt happen instantly right ? by the time Rights trading is over and payment settled MAS share could be 1.50 or lower.. still a risky business imo..
~also, since the ratio is 1:1 .. if someone bought 50,000 OR, but can only afford to buy 10,000 MAS... means the remaining 40,000 OR becomes toilet paper after OR trading period is over

So the story is:
Existing MAS holders before Ex-Date will receive 1:1 Rights Shares.. they can choose to pay 1.60 to convert to mothershare or trade the OR in the market...

So, when OR crashes alot could mean that existing investors are not keen to buy more MAS shares.

If a very good company offering RI for expansion purposes, then IMO it is a good opportunity to own the share at a discount, although the drawback would be a temporary setback/dilution in earnings..
