I'm in the midst of searching a decent HTS setup for my terrace house, with a budget of about RM5k running a 5.1 + receiver.

So far I've had a lot of reading done on 'TAKE ENERGY 5.1 CLASSIC + Onkyo AV Receiver' system which are selling like hot cakes in the USA, but not many information about it in KL. Nor does Mediaplex have much stock available here. Usage will be in the region of 60 movies, 40 music. Bookshelf size is better, for hanging. I would prefer not the 'common' supermarket store brands, eg. Sony, Pioneer, Samsung, Philips, etc.

Are there any suggestions on another range of brand? Thanks heaps

You dont mind any midrange Pioneer HTS? One model you can look for HTZ181DVD

5K you gan go for PSB speakers ctc/search CT seong in LYN or spend RM4999 and buy the Aego T. Solve your problem.

Ah, thats promising one too, but just a dollar left?

Added on February 13, 2010, 11:43 pmanchovies93, thanks for the recommendation on PSB speakers. The Alpha setup (B1 front, C1 centre, Zero sub) I bought are really great.
Had excellent service provided from the guys of A&L Amcorp. Bit over my budget but no regrets.
