2) irrc, both share the same battery, but based on what i talked with them ytd, they said out of stock, thats y they remove it from the option.. not sure when they will restock..

well, i get the 3 years total protection just want my lappy to last more than 3 years.. incase anything goes wrong, i still have the warranty to cover it.. define ur "future proof"

Well, most likely since SXPS is their one of the premium notebook, hence the inclusive complete cover?
9 cell is protuding to the bottom, lifting your notebook, if not mistaken.
About the display, in my opinion, should be just the same, unless Dell take the extra layer of plastic (edge to edge) out from the RM2999 model, hence the lack of that description...

the reviews online are generally positive for the Studio 15 and i took the plunge just now and signed up for the Studio 15.

I just couldn't ignore the specs and price of RM 1k less compared to the SXPS 16.

Here's what i've upgraded from the base model:

Core i7-740QM( surprisingly it is RM17 cheaper then the slower 720QM)
Full HD Display 1920x1080
8GB RAM
Backlit Keyboard
9 Cell battery
640GB battery
3 year Dell Care Premium(covers accidental warranty + 24x7 support)-repair on weekends and at night too
rest as defaults

btw, there were 4 different options for the Studio 15, and the cheapest one RM2999 specced as above comes to RM5487 today.This was about RM200 less then the most expensive choice given. I'd advise everyone to spec up/down all the choices before picking a model. Sometimes, the most expensive one could also end up being cheaper while at other times it's not so.You will need to check all the options before picking one.

On top of this check out google for discount coupons. www.dellcoupon.com.my reduced the price by RM150 and the SA dropped another RM100. so from RM5487..now it's RM 5237 or RM250 less then what's on the website. And for being slightly diligent, RM200 less from the most expensive option on website.so..for 30min work of speccing up/down, saved RM450 in total. Your mileage may vary.

Now am wondering if anyone know where i can find a laptop 2nd hdd caddy like this one?
