guys how big of a difference is the i5 and the old core 2 duo

just got my xps 16 ytd....but i bought an older batch so it was installed with windows vista on it.....should i change it to 7?if so can i use this vista's seriel ?and where to find the seriel?

guys need help again....my dvd rw is not reading the cds....each time i slot in any cd it dosent read and when i double click on dvd rw icon in my computer it spits out the cd,is it the driver problem?

yeah b4 it was working fine...when i try to install a game...during installation cyclic reduncy error then after tat cant read any cds after tat d....

yeah....all cds and dvd

is there such a thing tat the dvd rom can only read ori cds and dvds?

guys.....nokia got nokia care center where u can take ur lappie to repair dell got such place?

guys,there some problem with my warranty,i check on dell's website i still hav 349 days left,but when i call them and input my express service code,it says out of warranty,any clues wat going on?i m going to dell's service center later,to sort it out wish me luck.....it is ok to bring the lappie there directly right?

acutally i m still unsure about which number to call

guys,i download GPU driver from ATI themself and instlled them,but i cant seem to find it,and when i click on the CCC nthg appears.....must restart only got effect?

download and installed d....but click on CCC nthg happens....

i should choose,64-bit mobility HD radeon 4000 series?

fixed,long time never touch pc forgot must uninstall b4 installing new driver...sorry guys....

guys,i look at notebookreview forum,they said most 1640 are throttled,i think my laptop as well,any ways to stop this?

its me again,i dun understand how does dell driver download works,i ad them into my download list,but eveyrtime it says i hav nthg in my list....

piece of advice,dun use chrome to surf dell's website,super headache,i use IE,all the problems solved d.......

i still having the throttle effect afte ri install bios a14,hmmm wats seems to be the issue leh?heat?does the lappie limit the multipier no matter wat if the temp goes up?

it went down....means better cooling ....sigh spent more money again...

playing games sudd will very very lag.....then when i check the clock speed reduce so much....i guessing is the temp,or u guys think something else is at fault?

yeah....my desk to b exact,wat is the best surface if u dun own a cooler
