Your glider doesn't look like a healthy 3 mth+ old glider, it looks malnourished.

If her stomach is still bloated even when she hasn't eaten anything, she could have a bad case of indigestion or bloat. Bring to the vet asap.
Armand, if you really care for them and be patient with lots of TLC, they can make it so no need to dig graves just yet. Go get milk replacer, make sure you keep them warm. They look barely 3 weeks oop. 3 weeks oop still can survive if you are willing to put effort. It's those that are below 2 weeks oop that may not survive without the parents. |

Learn to read ingredients and you will be able to distinguish between fillers and beneficial ingredients. Make it a habit as it will not only benefit your glider but yourself as well. Some canned or pre-prepared human food may look tasty from the picture or advertisement but read the label and you will discover how unhealthy it actually is.
This applies to dog food as well. Sometimes the front of the bag will claim it's balanced, wholesome and the best for your dog but when you see the ingredients and analysis you will be able to tell for yourself whether it's good or not. So far most of the glider pellets available are full of fillers. Do more research and learn. |

The amount of cyanide is about the same as our drinking water. The report is believed to be done for defaming purposes due to some crazy political stuff.
Anyways no point to continue and it's an old issue. Spamming can be done elsewhere. |

QUOTE(kelvin_faye @ Mar 31 2010, 11:17 PM) Point in BLUE = This is definitely not spamming. It is newbies trying to understand what happened. Again, u stresses out that no point to continue to do this again. Point in RED = Following the point in blue u wrote, then why u, ur own, even bother to state this statement? The part which says defaming purpose. Cheers Kelvin I gave that statement to say the facts about the cyanide in the slurp and that it's not poisonous. Which is what ppl wanted to know, whether it's safe to feed or not. QUOTE(Divas @ Apr 1 2010, 02:34 PM) Just wanted to show off my hard work that i did last night: Very nice looking handy work. ![]() I didn't have a lot of the materials for some of the things on suzsugargliders.com so just did what i could. We have 2 bonding/sleeping pouches (plain purple and the one with the butterfly <3), then a cube and then the 3 small things in the corner, 2 have turned into dog toys (they were eying up the fleece the whole time so i had to make them something), and the other is a little pouch that i thought would be good to hide dry treats in for a game of treasure hunt (thought of it as i saw somewhere that you can use a pill box to hide treats in, if they can get into that surely they can get into this)... VVV Proud future Glider owner here, now all i have to do is make a cage, get a Wodent wheel, settle on a food choice, find a breeder, make some more toys (I want to have a trampoline and a couple of tightropes at least, as well as perhaps a couple of sets for when one is in the wash, and a more punk rock black bonding pouch), and then get a glider... lol Keep it up and flood more pictures hhkangyong : It could be dried up pulp that the glider spits out. |

Usually in chinese I'll say it's like a flying squirrel but not a rodent and has a pouch like a kangaroo. In malay I'll say the same thing.
Jailbreak have to be careful neh. Don't forget to always make sure the cage is locked. Once you've noticed that your glider is missing, close all the doors and windows and do a quick search in places where you think your glider will likely go. If cannot find then quickly go look outside. During night time be sure you have a flashlight. Cuz if it went out have to act fast, then later can return to check indoors more thoroughly if cannot find outside. This post has been edited by Reanne: Apr 2 2010, 10:02 PM |

Some very bonded glider come when they hear their owner's voice.
QUOTE(Cabok @ Apr 6 2010, 04:42 PM) The glider itself sometimes make their own games. Like Miko plays Do Re Mi with ppl by jumping from one person to the next and turns back to jump back again. I call it do re mi cuz she did it to 3 of my friends when they were standing near each other and their height was from short to tall.Billie likes to chase things. She chases my keychain, my hair band, cat fishing toys etc. She even takes money into her pouch. lol She likes to swing from my water bottle and enjoys massages till she falls asleep. |

A little corn as a very rare treat is ok. As long as not a lot & not often.
How old is your female? If still joey she may want to piggy back ride on him & he doesn't like it. Yueyi, I got it from SuggieBliss. The clips aren't from her tho, it's from the other pouches I got from Nadnad. I like this kind of clip but can't find it. I only manage to find one that looked similar but too big & for shower curtains. |

During the day let them sleep inside while you go about with your own routine. While they're very sleeping, gently scoop them up and place in your pocket. Don't excite them or disturb too much when moving them or they'll become more awake & may refuse to go inside the pocket.
Once used to it they will know to go there to sleep. Her eyes don't look so big there. In THESE pics they look humongous. ![]() ![]() This post has been edited by Reanne: May 1 2010, 06:43 PM |

Isn't it Flannel? Can find in a number of places if u look.
I prefer flannel cuz fleece is too warm and too fuzzy. Not to mention I don't like it when it stretches out of shape. Nixonyang, so far for me it actually depends on the glider. If the glider isn't used to you, like say timid or still not bonded, it may 'go' a few more times after you let it poo before play time. Sometimes when something spooks the glider it may also defecate or pee. Usually joeys will go a few more times. Older bonded gliders usually will have a big poop session right after you wake them & take them out of the pouch. A few minutes later maybe a few more poop drops & after that they won't poop for a long time during playing. However, alert & timid gliders like Miko will poop a few small poop here & there even after her initial session. Usually when something spooks her she'll poop a bit. Nope, doesn't bother me. Just the excessive musking from Billie bothers me. This post has been edited by Reanne: May 2 2010, 12:49 AM |

Alpo is low quality dog kibble that even dogs shouldn't eat if possible.
Both Alpo & Pedigree are filled with fillers & low quality protein sources. Sometimes dog kibble brands will write a lot of nice & convincing things on their packaging so it's up to the buyer's knowledge to decide what's good. |

Chocolate is actually poisonous to many types of animals, not only dogs. The thing is many ppl just feed to their dogs and say that their dog is ok & still alive. Some dogs are more sensitive whereas some are more tolerant. The sensitive ones are the ones that react from almost immediately to a few hours later. The tolerant ones can take in moderate amounts and still look fine.
But the truth is, it is actually poisonous & harmful. Just that the tolerant ones won't show it physically. As time passes it can lead to internal health issues with possible damage to the organs. By that time it may be too late. So since it's a harmful food & that guy says the gliders can take it, the glider may one day fall sick or die from it. It may be tmrw, next year or the next few years. So don't feed foods that you know are harmful. Cuz u may not have the chance to undo it in the future. The liver is the organ that deals with poison in the body, that's y. Grapes & highly citrus fruit I personally do not use. There are so many other fruits out there, so I prefer to prevent any problem if I can. Good kibbles are Orijen, Artemis, Eaglepack etc. Be sure there are no garlic/onion in the ingredients list. You can feed as treats only 1 or 2 pieces at a time & not everyday. And not as a main diet. This post has been edited by Reanne: May 7 2010, 12:46 AM |

That is true but so far there hasn't been data for gliders or marsupials fed chocolate so it's difficult to predict the outcome. Though it's common sense to think according to the size ratio, metabolism, the level of tolerance will differ, I will still opt to strongly advise against feeding chocolate & any known harmful foods.

Maybe Jelly wants to join or misses Joey.emino merajuk with me.. Added on June 7, 2010, 12:42 amGuys.. juz wanna ask, when female ready to pregnant? i mean when their mating, izzit possible the female straight pregnant? Mating might or might not jadi. Some times if the female isn't ready, or the time is not right she won't get pregnant. Feed a healthy diet regularly, good spacious & clean cage then there is a good chance she will conceive. Some gliders stay together for a year before they start having joeys, some right after they are paired. It depends on your glider. I agree with Emino. Not blogging about your pet doesn't mean you don't love them. I know a lot of ppl that don't blog but love their pets to bits, and I also know ppl that tell everyone or blog non stop about their pet, but actually all just for show & don't bother much about them. Another thing is, most ppl who write articles or blogs about their pet is mostly personal stuff, not aimed toward being informative. I would love to blog & write stuff about pets, but I can't go online for long hours & my course is way too intensive. I miss bumming around like last time.
