hahaha! Was thinking of tying the doors up with the cable tie at first, but then thought maybe I'd still use it nex time. Like when I change the food or some other stuff, would be easier. So I used those round book hooks o__o but.. maybe i'll change my mind and change them in cable ties. See how it goes first tongue.gif

Book hooks i think will still give some opening for the glider. You know gliders are pretty smart animals. Better to seal it shut. The best way to put food for them is still the main big door tongue.gif

They would still know how to open those book hooks? o____o
I hooked them on and tried. The ones I hooked on top have a opening not more than 0.3cm. And the bottom ones are with cable ties - cause I never use them. tongue.gif

Im more concerned about the small opening, that they might try to slide their tail or head ke apa ke, and then end up getting stuck. It just might be possible wink.gif like i said before better safe then sorry XD

im giving my sg a honey treat. i put it on my finger tips. Instead on eating on my finger, she went to the honey container which i put aside me. I pick her up many times on my palm and make she smells the honey on my finger and she keeps on rejecting and went to the container.

whyyy??? sad.gif

When I woke up this morning, I went to prepare Crislyn's medicine. After that I opened the cage to get her.. and I found that she was missing ! shocking.gif She was not in her pouch nor in her wheel or behind it. All the tiny 6doors were already tied up with the cable ties. It must be a different escape, I looked around for awhile - same time looking for her. And found one of the ... cage wire thing was loose. It's still SEEMS in place [Looks perfectly normal] but was actually loose at the bottom. Called my maid and both of us went looking for her - Curtains, bro and sis' rooms. Then we decided to check downstairs cause yesterday, we actually found her downstairs. We searched the curtains in the living room, under the sofas and so on. I went to dad's office to check - loads of stuff there [She could be hidding anywhere! ] Then my maid called me, she said that Crislyn is in one of those huge decoration vase. About 4ft tall maybe? My maid was calling her name and thank God Crislyn crabs at her most of the time! I don't know for what reason [she's already listen to my maid loads of time but only crabs at her and no1 else.], but she crabs almost every time my maid calls her. Anyways, we bend down the vase and I put my hand in. Crislyn jumped onto my hand and quickly ran out.

Pheww ~ Brought Crislyn up and put her in her 3ft tall cage while I set up the exoterra. Saw her coming out from the cage wire that looks perfectly in place. She just goes to the corner and pushes till the cage wire moves along thn squeeze out. shakehead.gif Good thing setting up exoterra doesn't take long, put her in there. But the thing is.. she wouldn't stay still. Didn't want to go into the pouch, I'm guessing she's afraid that if she enters the pouch, I'd be able to get her and feed her the medicine. Now she doesn't even want to eat the yogurt drop when it's covered with a little medicine. Got to do it the hard way rclxub.gif

She's still crawling about in the exoterra, finding a way to come out. She was so so afraid when I brought her back up. Kept trying to get away from me and the table area where I normally sit there to feed her the medicine. unsure.gif

Added on March 23, 2010, 8:27 amMm.. question ~ Can I let Crislyn and Criscille play together while I monitor them? Then put them back in seperate cages. Or would that only cause more stress?

OMG thank god you found her.. Was the cage the 3ft cage? This is like the 3rd time i heard of glider's escaping from the cage blink.gif

Both of them are not introduced yet? I wouldnt say it will cause stress, but if they are both bonded together they just might. Since both of them are females, why dont you do proper introduction and get them to stay together in a bigger cage?

Jolene's two gliders are actually introduced and lived together. But because of the pouch inverted case, then she separate them for the time being. Don wan them to groom one another.

@Jolene, make sure u check the 3ft cage thoroughly. You might not be that lucky next time. blush.gif

Glider are inteligent species, they pick up things and learn thing quickly.

To prevent from any accident happen, jus do all the precaution steps like tie up the cage windows, lock the main cage door, and etc.

Just do not underestimate your glider.
