Before exploranium came out in the market, most of the people are using flexarium... quite troublesome, nid to setup the things then only can put the animal in..

Just neutered my adopted adult glider, Haru at Dr. Jenny. Very quick, very good service.

So are u going to put Haru together with teddy?

QUOTE(glidermama @ May 21 2010, 04:04 PM)
i read on the net that adult male gliders will still smell more after neutering than male gliders which are neutered when small BEFORE their glands develop...any expert can comment? because RJ is stinky but if neutering him wont help the smell i wont do that to the guy
*
It's truth..the earlier u neuter the higher possibility the smell will gone... I have seen some cases where the glider bald spot still there although the glider are neutered.

However, in most of the cases, the musky smell of the male glider reduced dramatically after neutered. Of course, you don neuter the glider at age 6 or 7 la...

There are a lot more good benefits of neutering glider apart from the smell issue.

If you mix the pellet with fruits, then u hav to remove and throw the leftover after the night..otherwise it will get spoil...

Otherwise, jus put the pellet alone in a bowl..

Erm, for me midnight is the time where all my gliders are fully cHARGED and roam here and there.. Therefore, is either let them free roaming in the room (under supervision of coz), or let them eat/play/run/jump/glide in their own cage...

While bonding time i usually do it during daytime or the time slot where they are not fully awake (such as 8-9pm).. i found it easier especially for those glider who is crabby or defensive... They are easier to be handled when they are sleeping or half asleep.. smile.gif

Bonding with glider could take u weeks or even months to achieve.. If u r not hardworking enuf, u will realize after long long period (maybe a year..lolx) ur glider still not bonded with u yet... I find it so pity for the glider if they don hv any wheel to play during the period.. esp those who stay in 3ft cage.. T-T

hey thanks for the light! my luna always lick my hand , i thought she was normal , didnt know that she was looking for mineral. lol , will find the ORS stuff tomorrow for her. thanks again!  notworthy.gif

and btw , how much does deworming cost?
*
Licking your hand can be jus your glider is grooming for you.. Do not simply follow without any diagnosis from vet.. unless you really sure your glider is lack of mineral..

Erm, previously is bout rm15-rm20..but new clinic i'm not sure any changes or not.. i guess is more or less the same..

QUOTE(loritanah @ May 25 2010, 11:25 AM)
hey hey..that advise for lyaz_zest's glider after Dr Jenny observation/checking and it might not suitable for yr glider.

de-worming cost below rm50..can't remember.but still cheap. tongue.gif
*
Agreed...~~ smile.gif

QUOTE(Long88 @ May 25 2010, 11:00 PM)
i got one male about one year old..
im thinking of getting him a girlfriend..
any advise for me? smile.gif
*
In glider life, there is not 'girlfren' 'boyfren' 'husband' 'wife' or whatsoever.. Don put human term on them.. They are animal that act according to their instinct.. Which means, when you put opposite sex pair in a same cage, regardless they are father mother son or daughter, they will jus mate and produce offspring.

If you re into glider breeding, make sure you study and get prepared b4 doing it. It's much more than jus putting two gliders in a same cage...

If you re not, u can either get another male.. or neuter ur current one then get a female.. smile.gif

I used to put mealworms or yogurt drop inside..and within 1min they managed to open then grab all the treats..so i hv no encounter any issue that the treats gone bad...

LOL... poke the 3holes in each box is to let the mealworms breath.. tongue.gif

This is the because the demand nvr stop in the market, so more and more people will keep digging money from all those poor gliders..

But be positive, most of us hav been doing good job though.. There are more and more people know the correct ways of keeping glider..smile.gif

maybe will try it

coz my glider dun like smoothies that i make by myself..nor fresh vegie n fruit hmm.gif
but maybe she is still a kid..so can't eat much
*
It's a recipe modified from BML.

You cant mix feeding slurp with HPW.. smile.gif Both are different diet..

Added on May 29, 2010, 2:20 pmAnd, even if u r feeding slurp, u still need to serve along with fruits and vegetable..

blink.gif  huh! like that har..
that mean slurp is something like hpw?
hmm... but my gal like hpw, i think is ok..

then have to make sure she eat veggie n fruit onli..

btw, Shin not interested in the Bugsy Happy Glider ... but my chipmunk love it, lol
*
It's a staple diet that crazymouse_yyh created herself.

If she is doing well with hpw, then u can just stick with it lo.

It takes time to introduce new food to gliders..Last time micky took me bout 2months to introduce him yogurt drop..now he eat like crazy..
