QUOTE(aldarisgan @ Apr 15 2010, 07:59 AM)
Anyone can help me with my problems?

I juz get my SG 1 month ago, but it still ot bonding to me even I hang it ard me all the daytime, but it refuse to let me hold it ( I still trying my best on this)...so any suggestion?

Another problem is tat, my baby seems like too picky on the food. It doesn't wan to take HPW, so I replace with egg but the next day it seems dun like it again the next day; same thing to the fruit n vege ( I been changing all kind of fruit n vege)...I'm so worry abt it, the only thing it eats is yogurt drop. Anyone can help me with this?

Sometime, it really takes time for the glider to bond with u. Bonding process always takes more than a month. 1 month is not really long as they can live up to 15years. Pay more patience and keep ur effort up, one day u will get the result.

Erm...most of the gliders are picky inn eating... For fruits and vegetable, u can keep swapping and rotate in order to keep them eating.. Explore your glider appetite and then make sure u check on the cal:ph ratio.

As u know they are picky eater, so it also takes some time for us to introduce new diet/food to the gliders. Pour bit on the fruits and intro the HPW to them. Or u can add one or two yogurt drop and let it melt in hpw since ur gliders love it.. By changing the type of honey u use also might help in ur condition too. Rmb, they need protein DAILY. So u hav to try all the methods available in order to make them eat.. smile.gif

I met a forum member b4...his glider doesnt want to eat HPW at all too.. but he loves yogurt drop.. So i asked to try mixing the yogurt drop wit the hpw and serve...2weeks later, his glider can eatinng hpw by it own already.. smile.gif

Divas, the cage seem a bit imbalance for me.. I hav the same thought like you, sounds like bit too narrow.

Imagine, when u put in the wodent wheel, and some of the pouches..u hardly can hang anymore toys such as tunnel, vine and etc.. because it would be difficult for the gliders to glider and jump because too many things inside the cage..

Lol... I met few mass breeder b4 that claim they has leu and albino glider..but never seen any one in real yet..

But i wonder, if i were the breeder, i wouldnt sell the female glider..as i can let her mate with other male glider..since leu/albino is too rare in the market..

I don really think we shud use the laundry basket for glider... Some laundry basket material is too easy to be chew off by the glider.. very easy for them to escape.. The material of exploranium used is kinda diff from the laundry basket..

Erm..it's up to u... I would not want to take the risk..

At least he is willing to take the food from you... He crab jus to frighten u a bit... So keep on the handfeeding job.... And bear in mind, when u handfeed and he crab, pls don do any act or sound that might freak him out.. AAny sudden sound or move can frighten ur glider, because he is feeling not secure yet..

Lol... U will never know how expensive is the shipment fees until u try to import something from US into M'sia.. Yet, we don't forget if the wheel is selling in petshop, rental and utilities fees and advertising fee need to be counted in too.. And more importantly, service after sales.. I don think the seller can really offer good and informative advises in keeping gliders. Mayb he improved? i dono...

Rebel, u r so bad, korek everything out...

Anyway apple96, a frenly reminder to u.. all of us or majority of us here are real gliders lover.. we do our best to share information n experience.. For newbie or beginner that really wanted to learn, everyone will jus share whatever we hv... but for those glider owner who buy in impulse/abuse their glider/stubborn & etc, some might yell at u, some will ignore u, some will scold u badly, some will tease u.. this is becoz we donwan any glider to be suffer..

So, pls think twice. It's not funny thing to ply with.. it's living animal..

ohhh thank you for ur reply.

another question.
My friend sg always crab while in bonding pounch.  Even a slight movement, he will crab like crazy. But outside the bonding pounch he never crab.
*
Lol.. How long did ur fren get the glider already? It could be the gliders are not used to be carried inside the pouch yet... so bring it with pouch more often, although he still crab... Sooner or later he will settle down...

Nice one dreak89, but I think it will look nicer and works better for the glider is you hang the wheel high top of the cage..

And the yellow rectangle box hanged on the door, is it food bowl for them?

Remember to rinse the branch in water then sun dry for 1-2 days.. And make surre it's pesticidde freee....

Added on April 28, 2010, 11:48 amBlack one can be easily found in kl hardware shop.... If you really cant find any, go to Ace Hardware..i think i saw white also last time... but slightly expensive than normal hardware shop...

Shouldn't feed half boiled egg, either hard boiled or scrambled.

We shouldn't give any human cooked food to gliders because most of them are added sugar/salt/oil/flavoring and etc.

Therefore, NO kfc, NO nuggets, NO McD, NO french fries, NO Mentos, NO Twisties...

Mayb u tot of feeding pure water boiled hotdog without any sugar/salt/oil, but bear in mind that the raw hotdog itself is not solely made of meat, most of them added with other ingredients like pepper, cheese and etc.

There are a lot of treats that are safe for glider in the market, and some of it are benefits to glider too.. So, why not go for the proper treats?

erm.. RIP to the glider. It must be really heartbroken when we know something wrong yet we cant do anything to help.

Heart disease..erm erm..kinda rare in sugar glider.. Kelvin, u sure it's cause of genetic? If u are certain, then i hope the involved breeding parents can stopped producing any offspring that carries the problem.

Too bad i dono the owner, otherwise can ask more info from her.
