I know 20k KM..but I'm talking about the engine oil..5k KM need to change..so its better to change semi synthetic or normal enough?

Oh..but my car 11 years old..still can have that effect if use semi synthetic?

i am driving a wira 1.5 auto (2002), recently my car met a few problems, my questions are:

Q1) My car hard to start after not use for a night, basically i have to turn the key to the on position graved on the ignition switch for a few seconds then can turn to start position, in order to get a smooth engine start, if not the engine wont start have to start a few times, i wonder what is the problem?

Q2) After just starting the car and moving, the car will shake like the engine will shut down when pressing the brake, previously i dun have this problem, recently just occured

Q3) The left side windscreen of my car was scratched by some rusty steel and left a mark on it, i think not very deep, is there a way to rub it off, i feel heartbreak when seeing it like this

Q4) Recently I plan to have a service for my car, i plan to replace the things below:
Engine oil (idemitsu or eneos 10w40)
ATF oil (let the mechanic decide)
oil filter
air filter
power steering oil
spark plug
radiator coolant

anything else to add on, normally how much will cost?

 

Last changed was on 20/6/08, mine one is wet battery

Does any one know how much is a 4g92, 1.6 wira gear box cost? my y2000 Wira 1.6 export version gear box kong already. stuck at 1st gear, when it try to shift to 2nd there is a strong knock, the whole car pull back by its force. It like the gear box dont know when to change gear. any idea what gone wrong?   the workshop guy say hv to change gearbox

I'm going to send my car for servicing soon, so I plan to replace my plugs and also the fuel filter since I'm having problems starting my engine.

My wira is a 1.6 Fuel injection engine.

I'm currently still using normal oem stock plugs. Will changing to platinum plugs (bosch super 4 / NGK G power) help in improving pick-up and FC significantly? Any particular models to recommend? The plug gap is 1.1mm right? (No idea where my manual went).

As for the fuel filter...should be ok to let the mechanic decide what brand to use right?

Btw, no internal mods are done to the car engine and using sharlu 20W-50 mineral engine oil...I'm currently getting around 350 km for full tank with R95 petrol. Is this FC acceptable? I drive about 30-40 km everyday.

Probably for the engine oil, you can use lighter mineral oils like 10w-40
You might see an improve in FC

Please guide me if I'm posting anything wrong as I'm new to this sub-forum

I'm driving an old Wira Aeroback 1.6 (the very 1st generation as I recalled, not sure of the year but should be approx 15 years).

I went for usual car service (need to change engine oil) last month and the formen said my shock-absorbers need replacement already. He showed me the evidence where the tyres (the inner part facing inside) all botak-ed.

I'm looking forward for a maintenance to replace all the shock absorbers (as he mentioned all need replacement) and the tyres as well. These are the brands he quoted me:

Kayaba - almost RM600, should be RM600-- (no warranty)
Sakata (Jpn) - around RM610 (6 months warranty)
Sachs (Ger) - around RM650 (not sure how long the warranty, should be 6 months if not mistaken)

I really know nothing much about car especially when it come into spare-parts. He said original for my Wira is Kayaba, but he would recommend me to take either Sakata or Sachs that comes with warranty. What would you guys advise to be?

As for the tyres, it would be Yokohama 185/60R14 82H and that to be RM175 per tyre with a total of RM700 inclusive of alignment for replacement.

Then if changing the brake-pads along will be RM1445 (4x Sachs + 4x tyres + brake-pads) in total. Any advise would be appreciated, thank you

Hmmph... given the option and the price he offered me for the shocks, would that be expensive or consider reasonable? For the 3 shocks, which is recommended? He just told me that Sachs are gas shock and that would be a little bit stiffer than the others.

Yeah, the tyre is Yokohama A-Drive. I checked the price from another tyre shop, they quoted me RM165 per tyre which i more or less the same.

How much you spend for your Sachs shock? He quoted me RM650 for all 4 pieces including workmanship excluding 'boost' (I really dunno how to spell it out), would that price consider reasonable?

If I'm opting for Michelin tyre, which model will be recommended for my car?
