bro i didnt know Bollywood titles are out in Bluray, correct me if i am wrong, Bollywood is not using HD cameras for their movie shooting yet rite ?
Is this up scaled videos ?
Not exactly, each frame are taken from the original DPX 2K file and encoded it exactly the same with AVC codec. No addtional filters or colour correction was added onto the file itself.
For example,
Sivaji The Boss was a 4K film (shot on super 35mm), while
Ayan was a 2K film (shot on 35mm). The 1080p details are direct from the DPX source of the film.
Sadly, for Billa it was the existing source a [JPEG2000 digital file], a format which is used to display films digitally on cinema was used as source to produce the Blu-ray project.
On the AQ part , the PCM audio is miles better then the DTS HD MA soundtrack. Its LFE track is perfect when listening on a quality subwoofer. Most of the new Bollywood & Indian films are presented in DTS HD MA & LPCM.
I hope you get the clearer picture that these are not UPSCALED from DVD source.
Hope that i answered your questions clearly enough..
