Its 'hack'..

N it means to mod by sum form of electronics..

I dunno abt d rest but de oppo bdp83 sold by slt, sg provides a full warranty wif their hardware hack..
I heard tat even Pioneer bdps too can be hardware hacked n its exp( ard usd100+) plus not too mention voidin existin warranty..

Oppo bdp80 (83 is 2.5k) is closer to RM1.5k.. n ya, it dont make economic sense to get it over de cheaper Philips..
U cant compare de 2 like tat.. Oppo's strengths are not its pricing - never was.. So I guess if u r on a strict budget get de philips or wait a bit .. eventually de budget china models would be floodin de market .. prbly 2/300 n get it in de hypermarts then..
