got 5 pictures, probably load slow..

total is 14 step (maybe 13)
5th step from picture should be actually 8th-9th step.

if anyone here have the knowledge..


as above, is it dangerous ?
can it be fixed ? thanks !


October update:
*tried with filler from ace hardware..cracks will come back in time...(3-6 weeeks)
*tried cement patch, i sapu the whole area nearby the cracks...cracks come back too but in longer time..(2-3 months)


any contractor or tips to recommend ?even it will not collapse, i would like to fix it as it looks ugly, can be see directly at my living room.
and issit possible to change the stair rail if i want to ? if not probably i can opt to remake the whole staircase.

the size is like 2 or 3 hair..tried to fix it with something from Ace Hardware but the cracks came out again. scare it collapse..

i think they will become longer and bigger as time pass..

will it cost a lot ? that is the problem

try to seal with cement patch or filler bought from hardware shop alrdy. but cracks still come out few weeks later.
will try with cement, but that will make it become ugly..no choice..

update, i calculated the staircase got 14 step. (maybe 13 not sure how to calculate)
middle crack is at 8-9th step. picture will try to get asap.

3mm, is it the diameter of crack ? or long ? if long sure more than 3mm alrdy.

will get my ruler and check it asap lol =.="

Added on February 4, 2010, 4:28 pmit is second hand old house, so every house different..cos last time staircase is kayu with lubang lubang one..
if not enuff steel so must remake ? can fix ? remake will cost a lot of time and how i can go upstair.
checked last night, the crack was 1mm or less..

sorry old topic..got too busy i totally forgotten about it until i saw the crack yesterday..

the cracks gotten bigger, but not much probably 0.5mm or so...


how to check whether its plaster or concrete ? actually i think i cannot differentiate both of them...

anyone have good contractor ? i want to fix the cracks in my house, cos i dont like to see it..

those filler i bought from ace hardware, will crack again after 1-2 months or so..

already used it for about 1 year, will the displacement show up ? (if it is showing up)

if you renovated your house before, i'm sure you know that most of them talk and look so promising/reliable and it became totally different when the project/payment is almost complete.
my purpose is to hide/fix those cracks permanently, not only staircase but also wall.
