@want: u see..folding, i don consider stressing GPU also, gives me a mere 82C on average...and HD playback, 1080p somemore, my GPU temp is just 69C...so u can pretty much get the idea of how much work ur GPU does la..
i even use EVGA Precision to trace GPU load, i think it's never higher then 20%

actually it's a good alternative la..u see, u get more performance, no worry on kaput GPU also..but heat wise..err..if you're ok with peak gaming temp to be somewhere near or above 90C, then that's totally no problem with it

btw: it's monza, *ahem ahem* not mia, and he is always that early..haha

Added on February 4, 2010, 9:26 amwow...today check my siggy here, then only notice my folding score raise till 1.8k liao..hehe..

yeah...our card is not barely powerful to be a physx dedicated subcard(means just calculate physx only), let alone rendering both physx claculation and graphics together..

that alienware, for now, it would be CPU bottlenecked, but in the future, it will not..as games move more and more to GPU, and also, with OpenCL existing and look promising, GPU can also help in general processing, so CPU would have far less task in future gaming

still waiting GF-100 to come out..since they mention it's more optimized for folding..

oh ya, if i get a GF-100 card, let's say GTX-460, will it be bottlenecked by PCE-E x16 1.1?

but then cards like 4870x2 would require PCE-E x16 2.0 right? i just sked later got bottlenecked..haha
thanks a lot, now i can safely wait for fermi to come out
