the above is temp in AU and below is temp in SG...

and winter has yet to come... even though now is autumn, but is still bloody hot... sweat.gif

btw, i just did a check at Win7 Power Option, and u can adjust the cooling to Passive or Active...

i guess this should be important for S42 users, especially those who disabled Intel GMA... running 9600M GT on passive cooling??? brows.gif

well u guys use rm clock right??

any voltages to suggest for s42 users?? what multipliers to use when normal use.. surfing.. typing.. bla bla..

Voltages is different from one CPU to another even it is the same models...

active = got fan

passive = no fan

simple as that...

look under advanced power options...

processor not hot langsung...and rather underpowered with all the pages loaded with flash..not to mention bottlenecked in PS2 emulator...

hahaha i tried undervolting it already. not bad. battery life to 2 hours 32 mins, but not quite 3 hours yet. temps are low also. idle is around 36 to 39C, max also 74-76C. for GPU min idle is around high 40s and max around high 80s. biggrin.gif awesome.

btw, my sister has a S41.. any idea on how to control fan speed ar? Because on idle hers is around low 50 plus.. but the fan is on full 24/7. quite annoying esp in a quiet library.. haha

Open up S42, find the PLL and use setFSB to overclock?

@lee: i already knew the PLL long time ago, and tried setFSB, but i think there are some protective method on the mobo itself that doesnt allow me to change the clock speed

Yes, you can see the different the connection for SG and MY.
