Arshavin has been a selfish B*stard today. Blinded by the glory lights perhaps. Playing for himself rather than the team today IMO.

The turning point or points perhaps was Andrey not laying the ball off to other better positioned teammates in our early chances. Had one gone in it would have been a whole different ball game from then on.

I've said it many times. You can have the best DM in the world and the best CB in the world but if you don't defend well as a unit its useless.

God knows how many times I've posted this same crap on LYN for the past 2 - 3 years.

But the fact is, we dont even have the best DM nor the best CB. Aduh. Really facepalm and speechless.

So what happened to all the plaudits Song and Vermaelen has been getting? They turned God overnight and now Sh*t overnight?

Diaby has been great. Fabregas has looked good as well. You can see the effort Arshavin is putting in but sadly nothing seems to be going right for him at the moment. Clichy has been horrendous and I don't think I"ll even bother mentioning Walcott's contribution to the game.

i do thought that if there was any team that it is acceptable for Andy to be played as most forward striker, it is against Liverpool. and if there is any match he should not be played as the most forward striker, it was against Chelsea
*
I really like what I saw when Bendtner came on against Man Utd and Chelsea. Mind you Arshavin was absolutely ineffective against Liverpool the last time round as well apart from that goal. Arshavin may be better technically but Bendtner could play the lone striker role more effectively with his size and strength to hold on to the ball and not to mention the amount of headers he could win.

I would really like to see Arshavin and Nasri/Rosicky on either flank making diagonal runs from the wings pouncing on those 2nd balls from Bendtner's flick on headers.

Added on February 10, 2010, 7:45 pmArshavin up front alone will leave our game play too one dimensional to my liking. With Bendtner we could mix it up a little bit more IMO.

i also like what i see from Nik when he came on during the last 2 matches, but mostly due to the difference that he bring in our attack. my personal choice front 3 for tonight would be Andy-Nik-Samir

when i said games against Liverpool probably the most suitable for Andy to play the most forward striker role, it is not because of his goals exploit in previous encounter with them. it is because their defenders IMO are more vulnerable to the attack from the ground and less likely will just bounce Andy off like the Chelsea defenders. we also must remember that Andy did well (bar the greediness of course) as the most forward striker against MU

and also, their Greek defender is on suspension right. that should be equal to Jamie Carragher playing in the centre. so...must...use...opportunity... i.e. put Andy on him biggrin.gif

Sigh the thing is defenders always up their games against us. Wes Brown is an average defender at best and Evans, has the potential and all but still no where near good enough to be considered Europe Class let alone World Class yet we struggled. Don't be surprised if Carragher has a blinder against us tonight =/

Gallas may have taken all the plaudits from all the journos but to me Diaby was equally as massive, goal aside as Gallas was today.
