My BCP needs to be "hospitalized" ....

Casualty report:
1.) Rotor blade gone
2.) flybar bend but now I bend it straight again ... so hopefully can use again
3.) Tail boom bend, gone.
4.) Main gear, big one gone.
5.) horizontal tail blade set broken, but I use glue to stick the plastic back.

Hopefully there won't be more when I replace the the parts later ..... sad.gif

Yalah, so gatal when I charged up the LiPo .... then thought that just simply spin the blade and lift up a bit loh, then suddenly dun know why (maybe I hit something) the blades broken apart and caused all these damages. You did tell me before lah, but the temptation is irresistable tongue.gif When a beautiful naked girl sleep beside you, what you think you would do? wahahahhaha

Hehehe, crash and repair are normal but this round I think I have to pay for around RM100 just for this gatal ..... sad.gif
So I am pretty agree with you that heli is more expensive to C&R.

Check the main shaft too....
After you replace the main gear... take the whole head off leaving the main shaft only... then spin up and see~

To check the main shaft got bengkok or not?

If that's the case I think I will take the main shaft out and check.
I have an idea of rolling the shaft on a flat surface, by doing that the you will know it is bend or not, good idea ar???

Yes, you will see some shadowing effect if the shaft is bend. But is that true with a good shaft you won't see the shadowing at all?

No sim at this moment mah ... and too itchy until I cant behave ..... hehhehe ... nvm ... usually first time is a bit painful lah .....
Now I learnt to control myself first tongue.gif

Added on March 14, 2010, 9:10 amThere's no sign of bend of my main shaft ......... dismantle those part and manage to take the shaft out ..... it looks pretty straight with eye inspection lah.

Probably i think it is survive because the blade is the wooden one

Ohhh, direct linkage to those 3 servo for better cyclic response?

Found a few videos and I can see that their swashplate movement is better with the mod .... heheh, slowly slowly and maybe do this later when I can hover

Yes, although the main shaft is not very expensive but at least it is save some $$$ for me ..... estimated that this round I need to spend RM60.00 to replace blade (still wooden, don't want CF first), tail boom and main gear. Now worry already because not yet able to lift up 60 bucks gone ....

Tail boom can bend it back to straight but with 2 shallow dents, so i guess just keep it as spare part although it looks usable.

Fortunately the BCP spare part is not hard to get locally. But don't know why, some of the parts are out of stock for a month plus, when I called and ask the shop worker they all also don't know when the stock will arrive. Curious to know if it is because of the chinese new year holiday in China .....

But for 4G6 parts I think have to go for OHS already.

Ohhhhh, megastation has a lot of BCP parts? Then I shall call them up. I did not call them because I cant find anything about the BCP so I thought they don't have that.
Hehe, hobbysportz will be my last choice because if you compare with others ah, you will find out that you should go for other shops first .....

hehehhe, my progress is a bit slow cos I am old already ....... maybe 2 months later i still cannot hover my BCPV2

put in more practice and SIM time .. should be able to hover within 2 weeks or so la .. huahahahaaa
BCP parts hard to get coz most ppl have already moved on from BCP .. and now got v2 sommo ..
most shops usually stock ALIGN parts nowadays coz thats the most popular brand for now
*
Just the BCPV2 already make me going to bankrupt .... Not sure what's the price for Align parts so not dare to touch the branded thing first. Wait until I master this hobby then only consider that loh, I was making the wrong decision because in the beginning I was thinking of getting Trex 250 or 450. Only after i crashed my BCPV2 then I realize the cost of repair not cheap also. But still ok lah, I manage to find most of the BCPV2 parts from LHS and order a lot for this shot. It should be able to repair a few crashes without ordering new parts.

hehe..i got BCP V2 also. it is my 1st Heli. Now sitting diam2 inside the carrying case. no time to fly.

Hehehe, BCPV2 consider quite affordable for entry level people. Did you crash your BCPV2 before ar? Where do you order/purchase spare parts?

When my BCPV2 arrived, it comes with mode 1 Tx so I mod the Tx to mode 2 ........

haha..i crashed 3 times already. i sent my heli for repair at GRAFFITI HOBBY R/C CENTER, 6th Floor, BTS. dont have tools to repair and i stil very noob in this hobby. where do you fly?
*
If you just replace the parts I think you don't need special tools, find some videos on youtube related to this BCPV2 and it will give a lot of information including taking the parts away and some setup tips ....... I have successfully dismantling the parts and now waiting for parts arrival to restore back ... it is easy and simple. I am now learning to setup and tune the heli .....

1st thing ... a PROPERLY SETUP heli is much much easier to learn and fly
2nd thing .. a stock BCP has alot of inherent weakness (just ask those who owned BCP b4) so it hampers your learning curve quite significantly
3rd thing .. if u think u will be in this hobby for a long run .. then it is wise to invest in a "good" radio which really helps in controlling the heli

i am not "ketuking" u guys who says budget budget thing ... if u insist on starting on a BCP then so be it
but it will be a very very hard long road .. the end results will prolly be more expensive than starting with a "good" radio and a "better" heli .. hehehe
*
hehehe, you are experience so I know you are giving out your heart tongue.gif
hmmm ... as I said, I am now learning to setup the heli based on what is advised by nuttcaze, hopefully this will get my BCPV2 more stable. Just measure the length of my flybar at both side, guess what ...... they are not equally the same length icon_idea.gif
now still don't know I will in this hobby long run or not lah, still new and probably would give up 2 months later ........ my plan is to wait until I am good to do invert hovering, then only I will consider Align or other better heli/radio thumbup.gif

Errr, can you do inverted hovering now? Can tell ar?

Forget to ask. Dan137, how much it cost to repair your BCPV2 each time?

actually when you setting up your 450Pro, do you need to purchase screws and nuts yourself? Or included in the package?

hehehehe, did you do all the setup like swash levelling, blade tracking yourself ar?

Is that really important to do blade balancing?

Hehehe, I just ordered a cheapo pitch gauge which is around RM40 i think. I did not order swashplate leveler because I found that it can be done using a zip tie, should be better than visual inspection I think ....

Swashplate levelling is just to make sure that 3 points (for 120 degree one) of the swashplate are always level when you just move the throttle stick, right?

Hmmmm, it looks like blade balancing quite important as well .......

Locktite can use on plastic parts or not??
