Ah, my helicopter can't climb high again and requires severe trimming to fly straight. 2nd time this problem occurred. Don't know what has been damaged. Should I send for repair again? Lol..

Or should I get a new Esky Lama v4. Perhaps it lasts better for extensive use?

Guys, recommend me some helicopter, smaller than esky lama, durable, readily available parts, good flying time. I think I want to fly indoors already and get a really durable helicopter. I'm disappointed with mine

CB100 cost more than 4#6? What are their price in local stores? Available at mymegastation?

Since the single rotors aren't that leisure-friendly, what coaxial option do I have? I want small helicopters because it would take less impact in crashes. I'm confident with myself but sometimes other people fly my helicopter. sad.gif

My helicopter is back to action. I just got the battery replaced, for the second time. Apparently on daily hardcore training, it can only last several days. On casual use, it just lasts somewhere like a month. Why is the lifespan of the battery so short?

Does Esky Lama's battery die very quickly?

Ok, I'll try not to overdrain the batteries by using timer. The battery is only 500mAH. Quite hard not to overdrain such small battery.

Added on May 2, 2010, 8:57 pmMaybe it's more than the batteries. I can only lift off about 3 feet for 5 seconds and it will stall. Maybe the brushed motor died. So many things to replace. Flying 2-3 times a day is excessive work out for the machine?

I give about 15 minutes break minimum because I only have one battery and I had to wait for it to charge. Getting brushless for cheap helicopters like Esky Lama isn't worth eh?

15mins ??
the esky lama comes with a 800mah lipo
the charger that comes with the esky lama cannot charge the battery up within 15mins ... possible that your batt is not fully charged
even my chargers are not able to charge your batt within 15mins unless i am willing to risk it exploding
lipo batts are dangerous .. becareful how u handle and charge them
Yes, it doesn't take too long to charge my 500mAH batteries. Unless I fly kao kao to fully discharge them, which isn't good.

Got my helicopter repaired replaced. Something is wrong with the speed controller. The seller was busy with other customer and so he gave a new set of helicopter and transmitter. Lol. No random people shall fly my helicopter this time.

I download Esky FMS but didn't manage to run on my desktop because of Nvidia flickering issue. Hard to fly using keyboard sweat.gif

Hehehe, do you want a ESky 2.4GHz radio system for you to play your FMS and 6CH heli in the future?
Then you can forget about your keyboard  brows.gif

150 bucks? For this 2.4GHz 6CH Transmitter and Receiver only. But I am not sure if you can use it on Lama since I have not played before.
I would think that it is a waste if you use it on Lama since you don't need that much of channels. Might as well buy the whole Lama package (RTF) that come with Tx/Rx and sim cable also, it is less than 300 bucks.

I wished to get 6ch helicopter for some 3D flying but all of these helicopter are very big. Once crash, I have to pay a lot for repairs. Can mod Lama to 6ch? Haha..

I don't think 4#3 can do inverted hovering. What I meant was to look for something small like 4#3 or 4#6.
