but to rebuild a RTF after a crash takes lesser effort if we compare to a build start from scratch.

Usually a crash rebuild only involve the head & tail part, the body part you wont touch it most of the time mah .... tongue.gif

But now I think slapshock has no idea how to connect up some of the components but if we buy a RTF package we can skip this step and learn easily later when we get to understand the heli.

Heheheheeh, just my personal opinion because no every one the same .....

If possible ask someone with experience to test hover for you first .....

Ho ho ho, finally I have seen people using this Walkera Rx 2801 on Trex 450 Pro

Yeap, I think you have not charged up your battery for the first time usage. Perhaps it will be more accurate once you charge it completely. i.e. the voltage should be around 4.2v

perfectly acceptable laa .. not probs one .. once u use it a couple of times and balance charge it back volatges will be much much closer

hahahhaa ... thats what u think
coz when u crash .. u only repair the things u can "see"
the things that u cannot see such as block bearing .. dampers .. thrust bearings .. etc etc .. u dont touch .. but when u fly then u notice something is not right (if u can la) then have to do work 2-3 times .. hehehehe
so when u build a heli from scratch then u know what is what and where and how to do it ..
*
like that you dismantle the whole heli every time you crash ar? really need meh?

no need to dismantle the whole heli
but IF u had built your heli from scratch then u know roughly WHAT and HOW to check for those essential parts without disassembling .. not just the parts u see damaged
but nvm oso if u do not check coz heli will not FEEL or fly right is something u cannot see if damaged .. hahahahaa

Added on May 19, 2010, 2:42 pm

dunno what ESC u using but most of the time ESC comes with integrated BEC which supplies current to your electronics
my 450PRO runs on a separate BEC though .. i choose to do that due to certain issues
*
Can share what was the issue ar??? drool.gif

bro daddoo...
Really to say that I'm not 3D expert ma... I never mention that I'm 3D expert..  i've got few skill only maa.. that's why still shaky ma... haha... Once u fly in 3d u will know better about this.. hehehe... try it.
*
I don't know which one to follow, you said you are not but Qiw said you are woh .... rclxub.gif
Nvm lah ... hehehehheheheh as long as we have heli to fly then don't bother 3D master or not .... wahhahahahah

I think I started to realize what you are trying to tell ..... because sometimes when I am hovering my heli at home I will have that kind of feeling ..... especially when I save the heli from an almost-to-crash incident ......

center cyclics at midstick, what do u mean, sorry, i noob..

Where is the place i can put my receiver? Below the gyro at the back? Can i use double sided tape?
*
Everything has to be centered except the throttle trim ...... if i am not mistaken ..... I've seen this in the BCP setup videos from Nuttcaze.

If you want cheaper tools like screw driver you can go to hardware shop to check. I needed a 5.5mm hex socket screw driver before but those online shop really scare me away, it could rm40 just for 1.

Anyway, I just went to a shop and ask, guess what, I got it for only rm9.90. But sometimes you have to mod a bit to suit your application.

I am sure there is someone published a template for making 4G3 paper craft pitch gauge .... check if you can get 450 size then you can DIY pitch gauge ...

my advise is not to take risk to use inappropriate method since you are new into this hobby. The chances of breaking something is higher for a beginner usually. hehehehhe including me tongue.gif

Yeah, the tools itself are very expensive, im waiting my next month pay. This month im dead broke.
*
I think in the next few months you probably need to spend some $$$ to buy stuff. sweat.gif
After 2 months, I am still lacking of a balance charger and some Lipo, hmm.gif some other barang also ......

But for 450 size pitch gauge & ball link plier these 2 things would not cost more than rm100 for reasonable quality one.

Hehehe, no choice lah. You need to spend a bit if you really want to enjoy this hobby.

It is not just about paying for the price of a heli only, you still need spend on others not directly related ...... you will understand more when you crash your heli tongue.gif

You bought Imax B6? How much?

Ohhhhh no, after changing back to stock main blade and with a good tracking + balancing (ehheheheh, checked this both on the ground and during hovering), the tail of my BCP still drifting slowly to the right. Nothing can be done by adjusting the gyro gain knob, too much gain the tail wag and the head shake left and right, too little gain then the tail drift ....

Now just carry out some trial and error test. Tighten the belt and changed the tail blade to see if the drift still persist later ....... cry.gif
Then if still not good enough, might take the risk to remove the training kit.

Just the charger itself for RM150?
Does it comes with cables and power adapter?

It is quite normal to have tail drifting during hover.... even a good gyro will have drift too... but when you do FF, nothing happens...
If the drifting not much... just leave it... Sometimes drift was caused by vibrations from the heli itself....

You don't have to balance everytime when you charge... but is good to balance it about every 5 cycle (uses)... it is like maintenance to the batt..
*
It is like about every 10 seconds I have to move the tail point straight back to me, It was not like this previously ..... hmm.gif

Weird, I thought setup should be the same regardless of Tx's mode.
Unless they want to do a test flight for you to check the setup tongue.gif

Hehehehe, don't rush to fly your heli, do it step by step and slowly

Your new charger so far so good? How did he send you the charger?
