I sold off my trex pro not because of the problem it has, the problem can be solved, i sold it off because i wanted the new ipod touch badly, cant buy it by selling the hk450gt so, i sold off the pro.

anyway, there's a post in the forum on why you should never buy belt cp in malaysia rc, yes belt cp is affordable but to fly it properly u need to change here and there right, change the head, upgrade this, upgrade that, upgrade head, upgrade gyro, yada yada, ting tong ting tong, kaching kacing.... belt cp spare parts also damn expensive... in the end it cost you more $$$ than you bought trex close straight away.

on top of that, i agree with what QIW said in his post plus you can get all of them at hobbyking.com for around rm400-500....

Yes, do let us know your budget.

If you only think you want to spend a few hundreds to get Tx/Rx, Battery, Charger and Heli then BCP or Trex clone would be your solution. Trex clone around RM400 for Heli only based on what I know from Qiw & Slapshock.
BCP around RM600 including all.

If you have more than that, go for better quality one .... neither BCP nor Trex clone I would say.

my budget below rm500

i want simple one
just buy charge and fly
no need do modification

as for repairing, is it the rc will spoil very fast? lets say no crash? does it cost a lot? and what part that are normally spoil?

as for the trex clone, what do you mean by rm400 for heli? is it not including charger battery and remote control?

yup ... just get an ESKY LAMA for around rm200
the TREX or clone or BCP will definitely kill your interest in this hobby if u have no one to guide u in real life
just fly the LAMA until u are expert with it ... then can consider getting something more challenging ...

I think so, it does not include battery, charger and remote control so usually you need to buy separately. Maybe there is Trex clone RTF but I am not aware of at the moment. I am also a small little flyer tongue.gif

Tx/Rx is the remote control and it is make up of a transmitter (Tx) and receiver (Rx).

Maybe you should start with a coaxial rc heli as they have indicated, then only move to 6ch CCPM. That would be super tough without any experience in this hobby. Those with coaxial experience also hard to fly CCPM heli in the beginning, just like me ...... I am very slow

repair cost depends on the models you choose. a CP will definitely cost more per crash as oppose to a LAMA. not to mention the cost to set it back up after a hard crash. its a steep learning curve to learn how to set up a CP heli without no one to guide you. this is why i believe any beginner or casual flyer (like myself) should just stick with coax of FP heli. buy a CP once you're sure you want get serious in the hobby aka invest heavily.

btw, anyone has experience the Walkera CB180Q? looks pretty awesome. is the part hard to come by? how's the quality? i've read a lot of -ve stuff about walkera.

IMO you don't need to buy first if you just want to learn. You may try to buy LAMA first then get your Tx from the package, and use that Tx to learn CP heli in a simulator, that make more sense to me.

Most of us actually fly the heli in a simulator first before we really try the new move with the real heli. CP heli is fast and you have to build up your reflex with the 6ch CP heli or else you might end up with crashes. Usually a crash with 6ch CP heli need to replace feathering shaft, main shaft, blade, gear, flybar or tail boom. That would cost around RM100 for a 450 size. I am taking the BCP as a reference.

There are a lot of simulators out there like RealFlight, Phoenix, Reflex XTR and so on.
Usually you just need to connect your Tx to the PC and learn your orientation, new tricks from there. You may need to find a suitable sim cable to connect this up.
I have a Walkera Tx and originally come with a sim cable. I have another Tx when I bought my BCP but too bad I have to get the sim cable separately.

Hey, what's the setting in RF to make your background looks so realistic? I may want to try it to check if my graphic card's capability, the existing background i am using is too fake ......

If you get a LAMA from Esky I think the cable is included so you don't need to worry about that. There are several ways to get the sim, Mr. Slapshock suggested one but aaaahhhheeeemmmmm, do at your own risk tongue.gif

BCP RTF does not include sim cable. Same goes to those Futaba, Spektrum Tx which you have to get the cable separately ......
