Actually why some of the plane they need 4 servo and some only require 3 servo?
I thought we should have 2 for aileron, 1 for elevator and another one for rudder? or only 1 for aileron depends on the design? |

Just got myself into RC... Bought a new Syma 8889 3.5c heli for RM160 from the RC shop in Tesco Kepong. Kinda feel like it's expensive, now that I read more about the stuff... What do you think guys?

get the AXN glider http://www.rcsmart.com.my/webshaper/store/...ductItem=1847... or even cheaper ... the ZAGI http://www.rcsmart.com.my/webshaper/store/...roductItem=1396
both of these has no wheels so u do not need to worry about landing so much ... just put some fiber tape on the bottom .. level out low and slide the plane in for landing i started learning planes with a ZAGI .. it has taught me how to land properly etc etc but the ZAGI is not EPO laa .. the AXN glider is currently the glider is selling for rm220 at rcsmart (comes with motor and esc) u just need to plug in 4x9g servos rx and batt to fly the ZAGI selling for rm150 incldg motor and esc .. u plug in 2x9g servos rx and 2200 or smaller lipo other planes may include the WILGA or E-STARTER .. but both these can break easily coz their foam quite brittle once u start to fly properly with these planes there will be no stopping u except no place to fly ... hahahahahaa there are much more variety compared to helis heli and planes different kind of thrill laa ... both oso syok Added on September 28, 2010, 2:44 pm QUOTE(thunder_kaminari @ Sep 28 2010, 12:54 PM) Nola it's cos I found this site and everything AFTER I bought my chopper ma haha... DO NOT upgrade or anything as it will be a wasteif u kena poison and intend to upgrade your skills ... u can ask your friendly condo fella the next step that does not include upgrading your current set This post has been edited by QiW: Sep 28 2010, 02:44 PM |

I wanna upgrade the battery lo, wondering if u guys can help me comment pro and con...
I got some electronic knowledge so I can wire up 2 AA rechargeable batteries and tweak the voltage to about 3.7V, with Energizer batt 2x2000mAh(1.5V AA). Theoretically this should give me 8x more juice than my 3.7V 500mAh LiPo battery... right? Weight shouldn't be an issue as I tested it and it seems to be able to carry the extra few grams. Appreciate your inputs! |

your 3.7v 500mah lipo weighs next to nothing
the 2AA batt will easily make your heli overweight ... try tying 2 AA batt to your heli and see how it flies/cannot fly helis are very weight sensitive ... and also the voltage of the power source/batt will determine the speed of your motor/rotor .. 3V using 2AA will be way way too low ... some of the electronics might not even operate if u are really desperate to get higher mAH batt ... PM me .. i have a few 850mah 3.7V lipos .. hehehehe |

I tied up 2AAA batts to it, seems fine, later tonight will try 4xAA and 2xAA. As I said, I can wire it to 3.7V, even easier if I can push it to 4.5V but I don't think that's wise hahaha...
500mAh and 850mAh like not much diff... So I'll have to turn you down lo haha... My aim is to use normal rechargeable batts instead so I can bring a battery replacement pack of maybe 10 batts and fly my heli all evening outdoor ^^ |

good ... watch the weight and the heat from your motor
carrying extra weight makes your motors work harder and cutting down lifespan ... plus those motors of your heli are BRUSHED motors |

"Turnigy servo really so bad? I just bought one DS480 and should reach me very very soon. I've seen good comment on DS480." DAMN MAN! DS480 is the best servo i have ever use! but i dont know if its good for cyclic, but im using it for my tail servo..i paired with HK410B ... its the hardest tail ive ever played... anyway ds480 cost more than 65mg at hobbyking..but this servo is really damn good...coz i just change to ds480 recently...damn awesome!!! |

Ehehehehe, glad to hear that because I just got my Turnigy DS480. This will be paired with my KDS800 on BCP.
I got mine around USD22. By the way, how can you tell that the servo is awesome? Tail lock sui sui? Maybe I have no fate with airplane, tried to look for the one I like from many hobby shop, either it is no stock or selling too expensive. Appreciate for the recommendation from Qiw but those are not my cup of tea This post has been edited by daddoo: Sep 28 2010, 09:42 PM |

I remember last time you said your 450 Pro has a little bit of drift, do you still encounter that issue with 9257?
Hehehehe, 9257 can buy almost 3 DS480 ........ Another thing to ask you guys, usually the picture of a CF blade we see on website is very shiny and glossy one, but do you still see the same with the actual one? This post has been edited by daddoo: Sep 28 2010, 11:05 PM |

QUOTE(thunder_kaminari @ Sep 28 2010, 03:26 PM) I wanna upgrade the battery lo, wondering if u guys can help me comment pro and con... i'm not really electronic savvy, but maybe you need to review the power output specs for both lipo and NiMH.I got some electronic knowledge so I can wire up 2 AA rechargeable batteries and tweak the voltage to about 3.7V, with Energizer batt 2x2000mAh(1.5V AA). Appreciate your inputs! as i understands it, the reason why most electronic flyers uses lipos is because lipos provide higher power output and can withstand sudden high power draw in exchange for stability. so it can withstand the high power drain from the motors and still provide power for other stuff. normal NiMH may not be able to provide the same amount of power. just a point for you check. |
