hi guys

okay heres the thing. A friend of mine got his modded xbox banned from xbox live and also is not able to install any game,

I helped him to google a bit and seems that there are ways to sort of unbrick xbox so that game installation is possible agian but it will remained banned.

question -
1. is this information correct ?
2 If it is, any one here know if any shop in KL/Penang that provide this sort of "unban' service and how much ?

1. yes, u can unbrick the hdd (not 100% full proof) but not ur console. In otherwords, ur console is still 30%-50% locked.
2. dont know.

buy a new unmodded one with original games...100 percent fix...

Sad story for Malaysian -- if wanna get Unmodded one need to get singapore set.

So no one know who can help to solve this ?

Modded sets also come from Singapore. There's no solution to your problem.. at least I haven't heard of any so far. Your best bet is get a new unmodded console.

if you are not careful Microsoft will come with a hatchet and flames...for me that fear is not worth a modded console, if you got people who can bypass this...i wont stop you

modded advantage is you can read illegal copy of a game i.e. Pirate copy (and it's not allowed to discuss anything related to pirate over here).

Disadvantage? you're essentially forsaken by Microsoft for no technical support, void 3years warranty, crippled functionality & lost onlime capability if you're banned and if you're not banned yet, chances for you to become the next ban wave victim is very very high.

You ask me, a game averagely worth RM160 only, a modded and unmodded cost is negligible but losing the capability to connect to XBOX LIVE & 3 years warranty is significant.

and dude, people work day & night for your enjoyment, don't steal that affort and pay to the illegals....

currently if u go online with ur modded console..it will be save..coz the ban wave haven't started yet... if u dare go try..la..
