 Convergence problem in my Sony 34 inch Wega, with attach screeshot to show problem

Hi guys,

My CRT is having a problem as shown in the attachment.

I called up the Sony Service Center, and the guy who came here, when he saw this, straight away he said cannot be fixed(then pocket RM20 from it).

However, when i asked some friends around me, they said its not a big problem and you can find a technician in electric shop to fix it. Its the convergence problem where only some fine tuning would fix it.

Anyone has a clue if this TV can still be fixed?


Don't wanna give up this TV yet as it is still the best for watching Astro. tongue.gif


Added on January 31, 2010, 4:44 pmOh, by the way, as you can see from the picture, the further the image or text is away from the center, the more obvious ghosting appears.

Normally convergence problem, you need to adjust the magnetic ring around the picture tube neck. Wordings often have different color outline. If you picture is stretching on the side, then that is pincushion problem.
