Have anyone of you experience the MySony e-Auction? The items are offered at a very attractive price and perhaps due to no much visitors in the website, you "MAY" won a walkman worth RM500++ with bid RM100++.

However, I believe there are some inside job when the auction is about to finish. If the highest big is lower than their targetted selling price, the item will be auto-bidded by some "phantom" members (i use the word "phantom" as I don't think they exists). Almost all the items that might ended with a very attractive price ends up being bidded by the "phantom member" at time 11:59:56 PM (the auction ends on 11:59:59 PM).

More ridiculous is there are 2 items being won by the same bidder at 11:59:56 PM!! If this is true, I really "respect" that bidder because he/she can place bid on 2 DIFFERENT items with 2 DIFFERENT price but at the SAME time, up to SAME second. It is impossible!!!!

Well, I have proof on my statement as I'm really NOT SATISFIED with this SCAM e-Auction thingy by SONY. So i take a few print screen on the a few randomly picked closed items.

hmm... quite fishy as well... means u have to bid at 11:59:57 or 58 or 59 if u want to win the bid... i know they're not making direct profit from the bid, as the bidders who didnt qualify didnt have to pay a single cent.. but they are getting some sort of web traffic through this bid...
if ur claims are true, i would like to say good job in exposing them.

Bro, sometime not really the staff inside Sony bid for it, you can sure this Kurma is from Sony?
By the way, there is many last minute bidding (what we called it as "Sniping") software available for download.
If you ebaying, then you will always heard of such action called sniping

i never believe online bidding system or alike in m'sia, it is just lack of transparency; even happened to m'sia dell outlet, all those published cheap refurbished units are reserved by insider

helllooooo, hv u heard about auto bidding software??? it's common la in bidding websites.....penny auction also like that

i dont think this is due to the auto-bidding software. here is my justification (as a software developer):

1) Auto-bidding software must be running from other side (not from the eAuction server itself - if it is not a inside job)
2) When the auto-bidding software submit the bid to the eAction server at the very last minute, it won't happen on the same time (same second as well) as the time for the bid requests reach the server will be different (if happen within the same minute then YES, i buy the story).
3) But as i can notice, there are more than 10 items being bidded at the same time as i mention in my initital posts (i only capture 4 out of X numbers of closed bids).

Conclusion, auto-bidding software is not in the picture for this SCAM!!

i just check through that page.. All the existing won bidder happened to placed their bid on 1/xx/2010 11:59:56 PM. (Last 4 seconds) Damn.. better ask them to close that page from wasting real bidder time.

well, i'm very disappointed with Sony if my statement is true..had been a SONY supporter for so many years but end up being "conned" by dirty tricks...

haha~ once again kena plyed by the Phantom bidder.
i realize that the price on the main page wont changed even the inner page price has been increased by all the DATO PHANTOM. Damn...

Added on February 2, 2010, 12:02 amable to login again and observe the "sniping"..again all items won at the same time 11:59:56PM.

i just realized we have so many "sniper" out there but i'm just not one of them..i'm still using my pistol now...
