Not sure if this is the right thread for this, but I can't find any thread for 3.75" DC Universe Infinite Heroes figures.

Does anyone know if the Doomsday 6-pack ever made it to Malaysia?

Wish the Daiso display cases were just a *little* bit bigger. I'd happily pay RM10 for a case which fits 3.75" figures and Nendoroids. The current sizes are just.. not very usable.

Do you guys think it's worth waiting for an item in TRU to get discounted, or if some items are better bought while they're available? I'm keen on getting one of those RM189 X-Men sets with Cyclops, Colossus, Storm, Thunderbird, Wolverine and Nightcrawler - I only have Cyclops and Colossus duplicated, and the new colours are better than the ones I have anyway. Would it be worthwhile waiting for it to go on sale, or will I risk missing out on it? I remember waiting for Transformers "Rampage among the Ruins" to go on discount since no one was buying it, and then suddenly it just disappeared off the shelves to make way for the Transformers movie 3 merchandise.

The Sentinel + Wolverine is also tempting, but the 6-pack set is the one which is calling out to me atm...

yes..waiting for so long dy but still no 'good' news..hehe..

anyway for me, Storm in the single pack looks better than in this 6-pack set...
*
I prefer Storm in the 6-pack because her costume is grey-black two-piece with the gold ring in the centre, as opposed to the blue-black one-piece suit in the single card. I haven't really been following X-Men for many years now, it's just that the figures reminded me of my interest in X-Men 25 years ago, and looking at them makes me feel young again! smile.gif Storm in the 6-pack looks exactly as she did 25 years ago!

I saw a couple of the Marvel Girl / Cyclops 2-pack in TRU Empire tonight. Only two, though, compared to like 6 or 7 of the Wolvie/Sabretooth pack.

Was Classic Havok ever released in Malaysia, or just the normal one without the 3 rings on his head? I saw so many of the latter, but never saw the former. Was waiting for it and now only check and see that it came and went... sad.gif

Was there ever a Classic Polaris figure released as well?

You are referring to Havok variant ,which to my knowledge never surfaced in Malaysia .
Polaris was never made into 3 3/4" MU line .
Thanks! I saw him on eBay and he's really expensive - USD 36!! Looks really nice, though. The regular Havok doesn't look anything like the Havok I know!

Hopefully someday I'll find him loose or something. Or maybe they'll re-release him - maybe in a 2-pack with Polaris.

You're welcome .Yeah ,variants are usually costly .
I prefer the 90's version of Havok ,wearing a jacket .

I only read X-Men in the 80s, though, so anything from that era makes me feel young again and brings back all kinds of nostalgic memories. Now if only Toys r Us will be nice and put that Giant X-Men pack on discount... I think I won't be the only person going to sapu a set when that happens, though! smile.gif

I saw Kitty Pryde in KLCC Parkson tonight, for those still looking for her. Only one left, though. There was also one Dark Hawkeye (Bullseye) too.. I wanted to get him before I wondered why Hawkeye looked so .. maniacal. Then I read carefully and realised it wasn't Clint Barton. I picked up Black Widow and Yellowjacket/AntMan - both were the last ones there too.

I second charsiupau's sightings. I too saw the similar figures including Havok and Union Jack at another Parkson. Oldies restock..smile.gif
*
Ohh, was it the havok with the rings on his head, or the normal one?

Went to Parkson 1 Utama - really poor selection, but I managed to find one Union Jack and one Captain Britain to form a nice British hero pair! smile.gif

While I was browsing one of the staff asked me "Are you a collector?". I don't really collect but buy casually, so I said "no, just looking around", and he walked away. Maybe if i said "yes" he would have taken me to a hidden stash in the backroom and charged me scalper prices for them!!

thanks bro tongue.gif
got them 2 or 3 weeks back..dat time just released, so still able to find YJ & KP
*
Not sure about YJ, but Kitty Pryde's been out for many months now - I got mine at least 6 months ago or something, I think - in those days Kitties and Archangels were plentiful at shop like Isetan. My YJ I got 2 days ago - was the only one left - and I'd never seen him there before - so KLCC Parkson must have dug up some old stock or something.

For those who are interested, this morning I saw 1x Havok and 1x Black Widow at Parkson Subang Parade. Was the normal Havok without the 3 rings (otherwise I would have bought it!).

Let me guess, that BW had some smudge on the chin? Parkson SP...the MUs there are incredible...many THORs and Iron Fists...all arranged in order.
*
Oh yes, full of Thors and Iron Fists, but then so are other Parksons. I think she did have a smudge on her chin, but so does mine (which I got from Parkson KLCC) although it is very very slight. There were also a handful of Storms and one chap whose name I forget. Based on American flag, but whole head covered in full face blue mask. Carries a shield like Cap's first one. Patriot or something.

The only MU out there which I don't have and which calls out to me to buy him these days, other than the Giant X-Men box, is the Sub-Mariner (the one in his swimming trunks) - that figure looks quite awesome, really. I just don't quite know who to place him with.

The THORs qty increased from the last time I was there. But no signs of Psylocke. Then last week spotted those new figures with Kitty and Dark Hawkeye.
*
Psylocke is still quite easy to find all over the place - try Isetan in KLCC or maybe even the Parkson there.

Was Moonstone ever released in Malaysia? I wish they released her in her original classic villain costume (I really liked her in my student days - blonde girl in golden spandex with an Ultraman helmet) but I guess the Dark Avengers version isn't that bad either. Just don't really like bare legs because they make the knee joints look really ugly.

TRU didnt restock these oldies. So far I only seen at Parkson KL/ PJ. Iceman still have one pc at One U Parkson as of last Sat.
*
Iceman is still not quite extinct in KL yet - I've always wanted to buy him to join my X-Men, but he looks more like X-Factor Iceman than the normal classic X-Men Iceman for some reason. Maybe it's that big X on his body. I've not seen Archangel in a long long time.

Is it true that Parkson and Parkson Grand are not the same? My wife tells me that Parkson is upperclass while Parkson Grand is cheaper stuff, so maybe the stock is not the same in both shops. I should go check out some cheaper Parksons (or Grands) tomorrow.

Checked out TRU in GE Mall today. Picked up a Falcon (always wanted one, now that I've got YJ and BW I have an Avengers excuse to get him), Iceman, Thanos/Adam Warlock and Quicksilver/Wonder Man (This particular QS had a really nice face sculpt). Items of note remaining there are the Thanos/Warlock dual pack (they should be common but I hadn't seen them in a while, and was panicking because I really wanted one now that I've started buying non-XMen figures), a single Skrull Soldier, Wrecker, and a single Power Man/Iron Fist dual pack. The others are commonly found stuff like Ultron, bulldog Thor, Sub-Mariner...

No sign of Avengers line at all.

hmm..shud I get the Ultimate Thor ?  hmm.gif I already have 2 from MU..the SDCC and modern versions. The Avengers line is very similar to the Ultimate Thor, dilemma now  tongue.gif

The Thor I liked the best was the cartoonish one which came in the 2-pack with Enchantress, but Enchantress, sadly, had a grotesque headsculpt and I could never bring myself to buy that pack. The next best one is probably the newer one without the helmet - the facesculpt is quite nice. I'm still deciding which Thor to get too!! smile.gif

Just visited TRU in Pavilion (consignment TRU in Parkson top floor) and there's quite a lot of Marvel figures there (more than most shops I've seen). Figures of note include:-

about half a dozen Psylockes (there was at least one person here who couldn't find her)
a handful of Modular Iron Man
a couple of Iron Patriot, Iron Spider Man, Ronin, Union Jack, Steve Rogers Captain America, Iceman
one each of Doc Samson, Spider Man (not sure which one it is, but the card just says "Spider Man" figure 01), Iron Man (just "Iron Man" figure 21), Grey Hulk, Winter Soldier

the rest include common figures like helmetless Thor, Storm, Magneto, Marvel's Patriot etc..

No sign of any Avengers line, but my guess is the stuff they have here is even more attractive to you guys!

Parkson Grand, Old Klang Road (the old Yaohan) has:-

1x Archangel (just one, so if you really want it be quick. Tell your boss you need MC or something)
1x Kitty Pryde
1x Wolverine (can't remember the full name - "Astonishing Wolverine"?, something starting with "a", he had snarling teeth. I saw him in Parkson Pavilion a few days ago too)
1x Havok
1x Steve Rogers Captain America
1x Yellowjacket/Ant Man
1x Dark Hawkeye
1 each of the following 2-packs:-
Spider Man/Green Goblin
Iron Man/Punisher
Iron Man/Black Panther

I already picked up what I liked (1 Spidey 2-pack and 1 Iron Man/Black Panther 2-pack - there's still one set of each there) - everything above was still there when I left this lunchtime.

Less popular places like these always have nice stuff to surprise us. There's also 1 Cosmic Loki from the new Avengers line, but that one will probably appear in greater quantities later.

How much is the comic packs?
*
2-packs were RM69.90. They weren't comic packs - they were little boxes with 2 figures in them, posed like fighting each other. There's no special name there, but the titles are "Iron Man vs Black Panther" and "Spider Man vs Green Goblin". No comics attached - more expensive than the comic packs but cheaper than 2 individual figures.

Congrats on your haul, Screemo! I rarely go there too, but I was at Pearl Point today and had some free time during lunch so I went over to take a look. Ulu ulu places are nice to look for sure, especially now that we know to target Parksons. Has anyone checked out Parkson Sungei Wang? It's not really ulu, but then again not a place toy collectors usually visit. Then there's the Mall, Alamanda and some place (according to the store locator) in Setapak for KL. Selangor Parksons are a bit far.. like Klang, Rawang, Kajang.. although the Selayang one doesn't seem that far.

You really need to be looking for something in particular to go hunting, though. The only figure I'm hunting for I'm pretty sure will never be found in the local shops, so I only provide intel when I just happen to be passing by. If I thought that Selayang Mall would have Classic Havok I'd drive down there in an instant! smile.gif
