Okay this is what happened... Before I turned on my plug, I changed the port of my LAN wire (the wire that is connected to my CPU) to port 1. After changing, i had download speeds more than 100 times faster than usual, so i went to www.speedtest.net to test my internet speed, the download speed was 16 MB per second and upload speed was 0.46 MB per second. But my usual speed was 100KB per second, thats the speed i get even by downloading from microsoft or any other website, my speed will be limited to the max 100kbps, that was my usual speed. Now it has increased so much, does it charge more? And i have another problem too, for example, downloading from Megaupload, i hit the Download button, but the download window didnt pop up, and the loading bar was stucked at the same place for a very long time... Wonder why is my speed that fast and why is the 'Download' window appears so slowly... i tried other sites, downloading a video, the 'Download' window takes 5 minutes to pop up, then right after i clicked 'Save' , i was noticed that my download was completed, and the file was 10 MB.... icon_question.gif

Dad never change package, very irritating, browsing speed decrease, video loading speed on YouTube also decrease, just that download speed increase, and the bigger the file is, the longer it takes for the download and the 'Save' button to appear...

[quote=PrinceCaspien,Jan 29 2010, 07:38 PM]HSBB is using fibre optic cable and not cooper wire, if you are selected you will know.
Just buy a new modem and hook it up and your problem will be solved, RM60++ only for a new modem.

This is simple to solved, just press the reset button long long till all lights turn off and release after all light turn back up, this should put all settings to original state, then try to connect(set your userid and password again since you hard reset the modem) if still the same, modem gone case edi......

When ppl explain don't want to listen, i face the same situation like yours 2 week ago, speedtest shoot up to 32MBps, sometimes 20MBps but when trying upload......fail.......SO i call telekom and complaint till they sent a technician over and using his modem there is no problem....so i buy new modem and try and it works....my old modem kong edi...

You sounds like, if a car tire got nail and leaking are, you will always go and pump in more air and ask people why your tire always leaking air instead of going to fix the hole.

Cheers.

1.6meg issit =.=.
I've once got the bug version of bitcomet to run at a top notch speed of
2.5 meg on a 1 meg line package.
It maintain at a stable and top speed of 2.5meg for 30mins and suddenly my phone rang.
Pick it up noone answer and notice no dial tone on the phone and suddenly connection went down.
For 30mins can't connect to streamyx.
