I need some ideas on what laptop to get for a girl.

Have VGA out..
DVD ROM at least
Powerful enough to run at least 3 facebook app at the same time in the bg, while watching dvd without choppy effects.
Less than 2.4kg with bat..
Battery not so important, 3 hours still ok.
budget 4k.

Currently I think Asus u80v is one of the better ones I can find.
Toshiba m900 is also a good pick, i think.
HP probook has a few interesting models too.
HP elitebook is way out of my budget..
Dell.. the design is too plain.. unless no choice, then I'll pick dell, she hates XPS.
Sony vaio carbon body is cool but it's way out of budget.
Lenovo, I have seen X200, X300 impressive but it's out of my budget.

Any suggestions?

It has been replaced by Vaio X.
