Well, if you are more concern on customer service, then do really consider Dell, they are great as long you are still in warranty period
You can also consider Asus notebook, they by default comes with 2 years warranty., like Asus K40IJ@RM1999 |

Well, you can't get P series for 2k...
Gaming wise, consider Asus K40AB, Lenovo G450.. |

budget?
if below 2k, consider Acer Aspire 1810TZ @RM 1899, 11.6'' and SU4100 1.3ghz + intel gma 4500 mhd, much better than atom variant netbook whilst keeping long battery life |

With that budget, at least get something with nvidia gtx260m/gtx280m or ati hd4870/hd5870, like alienware m15x/m17x, asus g73jh, asus g51jx,
Though availability on shop, I doubt they would want to keep stock on these notebooks... |

QUOTE(Mr.LKM @ Feb 8 2010, 02:35 PM) Hmm... no idea if I need DX11. So the answer is probably not. If taken heat management, build quality (touchpad, keyboard) and after sales service, would you still prefer s42? On idle, its GPU runs around 6xC, while on gaming can reach 90-94C, which is still manageable, build quality wise, quite ok last time I inspect my friends one, the palm rest is made of aluminum, though not as solid as macbook pro. speaker is loud after sales, it might not be as good as Dell one, but still quite responsive in giving feedback through email, repair time, seems like 1-2 week+, iinm for more response, you can ask on benq thread, http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1314111/ |

That GPU should be able to hold till 120C,
as long keeping it down 100C, should be fine... Well, you get what you pay for... Dell after sales is better but you pay more expensive |
