Actually looking to buy either hp or acer (netbooks) and i think that both is around 1.2k right? Sorry don't know the models (am abit blank about buying new netbooks )...

I guess you're asking which is better for gaming perhaps?If so, then of course the SXPS 16 is better as its GPU is better and has a much more powerful CPU(P8700/i5/i7) although more power hungry

Well, both of them is targeting different market. Dell Studio XPS 16 would give better gaming experience.

@farez5979, is this going to be your main computer? If yes, better get the sxps 16, you wouldn't want to stare at 11.6'' everyday do you....

en, for main computer, not only m11x is insufficient on screen size..

I'm planning to pruchase a laptop for my college use...
I need some recommendations from the veteran...(that's why i'm posting here,though)

Brand : Any(preferably Hp)
Budget : rm2000-rm3000
specialisation : college use(what's more than assignments!),multimedia usage(movies,music,etc.),durable for lengthy hours of usage(seriosly,i meant it!you don't know how massive could I use a computer!!),and the one and only Windows 7
Size : Preferably 17-inch....

Honestly speaking, can forget about 17 incher for just RM3K budget.I suggest 14" or 15.6" instead.Which would u prefer?
