3. i know normally below 2k is free dos(no operating system) but any brand laptop is free install operating system(windows xp/vista/7)??
4. whatever Processor
5. not into very graphics...just integrated graphics is enuf for me...
6. free wifi, bluetooth...webcam
7. 250/320GB hard disk
8. optical drive(with burning)
9. free install microsoft office++others necessary software
10. and other free install...

i'm just looking for a home user laptop...which only can surf internet, entertainment stuffs(listen/watching/downloads/social stuffs..etc), assignments...

i was like so bad want to change my present laptop which is HP TX2032au. its nice to use it at the first time i bough it but not until i install ALL adobe software inside. haha, maybe im still "budak ingusan" last time to choose my own laptop. my present specs is. windows vista home premium 32-bit, 160GB hard drive (lame), portable wacom screen detector (good for me im graphic student), 3gb of ram (i upgrade it from 3gb). that's all i remember. haha.

looking forward to sony vaio F series. i dont remember what model it is, but the cost is rm3999 @.@.

which F series that you mean.. there are VPCF117HG/BI which costs RM 7299

i couldnt find any other F series..

maybe it is FW / FZ series .. mind to share what model you looking at ..?

for FW series .. there are -> VGN-FW53GF/W which costs you RM 3599.. but it isnt good as you need better graphic and processor for your usage..


i can suggest you to go for i7 proc.. but i need to know your max budget..

I am a total newbie for laptops.... my 7 years old PC has just retired. urgently need a new PC/laptop... decided to go for laptop

My budget is around RM 3500 to RM4000

thinking of Dell brand...(But would like to hear some recommendation of brands from you guys here)

Looking at a laptop that plays most recent video games, like Dragon Age or maybe Mass effect and etc.Also will use it for some minor office works, presentations, surfing nets mostly and also downloading stuff from internet. ( maybe can recommend which Wifi card or network card is good)

A DVD writing ROM should be enough for me

Not particular about screen size, but would prefer HD video.

Just need a very basic netbook for daily usage.. below are the things im looking for..

3. support IM. (msn, ym, skype)
4. good internet surfing experience.. (forums, facebook, facebook games)
5. can hear music and watch movie..
6. Any basic requirement for a latop..
7. Got wireless connection.. (wireless , bluetooth)

looking for 14/15" laptop with budget 4k-4.5k

brand doesn't matter but i don't favor acer.weight if possible must not be too heavy as i will be bringing my laptop to college

and if possible able to do some decent gaming

currently im considering asus n82jv and dell studio xps 16

acer 4745G[i5 430m + hd 5470/4500hd]

dell studioXPS 16 is a bit heavy as its 15.6 /16 inches. but well it is a good choice.

another recommendation is Sony vaio ea16 , lenovo y460 ..

if u can import notebook.. currently.. Sager NP 8690 is the best[but it costs you RM 5k]
