i'm a architecture student, i use softwares like autocad, 3dsmax, vectorworx. microstation, maya, google sketchup, photoshop etc. work long hours with lappie.

1. any brand, but i prefer asus and sager because of their performance and good reputation. Asus N82JV.. Sager IDK
2. RM3.8k-RM4k Asus N82JV is priced roughly RM 3800++
3. ram=4gb and above, graphic ram=1gb and above preferably nvidia RAM u can upgrade/ Nvidia GT335 with optimus technology
4. display above 14" its 14.1 inches
5. good cooling system, no/low overheat issues/good heat control
6. good for processing heavy applications

am currently aiming at asus n82jv.
*
definitely Asus N82JV from point 1-4 .. ....no.5 is unknown..
and 6.. core i7 quad / core i7 extreme and intel core 2 quad/core 2 extreme is preferably if u want faster processor// wink.gif

thanks lee_what and kae.
but for me to get i7 means more money, if asus n82jv allows upgrade from i5 to i7 then maybe i'll consider. i've already did my own research before posting here, now i'm more confident to get a n82jv.

Well, depends on how demanding you are...
Good for me doesn't mean its good enough for you...
But generally, it should be enough.
