the difference is only screen size, number pad and weight.

its GPU is good enough for entry high-end, better than studio xps 16' hd4670
though sacrifice on cpu, i5 430M, should have been 520M or 540M, though the next step up of the model would be using i7 quad core, which mean extra rm 1k+

13'' is expensive....
the one almost fit your budget...

what how?
performance? in term raw performance of course lose compared to intel one, but in this budget, intel always paired with intel gpu.....
Its fine for everyday usage, gaming also not that bad, so far no complain from my friend using k50ab..

calculation performance and battery life but amd is more responsive because of its lower memory latency compared to intel..

Well, its kinda hard to find something comparable with lenovo x300 for budget rm 3.5k...
You may consider HP dm3-1031TX with SP9300 + nvidia G105M (RM 3499), and up the warranty to onsite,
The downside is, it doesn't have dvd drive internal...
Though Pro OS and MS Off you might need to buy separate...
