a relative bought an harman/kardon go+play because poisoned by my klipsch ifi. its a good docking speaker. but the D cell batteries are damn expensive and with the batteries installed it's heavy... i wonder why dont they install a li-ion / even lead acid battery altogether so it is rechargable like an emergency light. lol.

sound wise, ive listened to it without any break-in and its amazing. of course cant be compared to a standard 2.1 system but it sounds very good for the size. only drawback is price, and battery.

Yes, i think it's meant for portability, but at the same time it's quite large and heavy.

For RM1299 i don't think it's a worth buy because there are a few speakers out there priced less than that, sounding twice/trice/quad as good/better. Just that they don't have a dock input.

So you pay couple of hundreds extra to get a dock, but drop in sound quality. I'd rather don't have a dock but have good sound quality IMO. Also, maybe because it supports Apple products, so it's "value" is increased.

But again, it's one of the best sounding dock speakers so far @ that price range... And if you got the means to get an iPhone, these are no problem for you ; )

exactly. for that price if they should have put in a rechargable battery, perhaps something like a laptop battery the price would be quite justified. the 8 piece D cell batteries of energizer can cost about 1/10 of the speaker itself!

but, one thing i like with go+play is that as with klipsch ifi, it uses RF remote control. that is really one big plus, compared to competitors' infrared remote...

Just got HK sound stick 3!

its beautiful, it sounds good for accoustic & vocal..
vocal clarity is excellent. im enjoying my entire music library again..
i find that if ur the type that enjoy jazz, accoustic, blues, classical, these speakers will do you good, not as much if your into bassy type of loud music..
