hi there...

i just made a mistake cry.gif , updated my psp with the one obtained from playstation official website (latest 6.20). now it cannot read the games in the memory stick, & from there i realized i shouldn't have done that (to proceed with the official update). i was informed i need to downgrade it back (and after that, to update with the latest firmware).

icon_question.gif icon_question.gif icon_question.gif can somebody help me with this? i've search at the internet, & there are various/many steps to do that, i don't know which one to follow rclxub.gif (i don't want to waste $$ to do it at the shop, plus this can be a good lesson for me to learn). can somebody show me the steps or recommend any website to solve the problem? i'd really appreciate it very much. notworthy.gif

thnx in advance smile.gif smile.gif

was there m33 or oe at the back or 3.33? this is to make sure u have a hackable psp.

if its a hackable psp, all u need is a magic memory stick, and a pandora battery. dats all.

hehehe. pretty shy, coz for some it may be stupid mistake. doh.gif

my psp is 2002 (according to the box). the last time i checked on the 'setting\system information', all numbers showed 'three' (3). not only the version as in 3.33, but other numbers as well (other information in 'system information'). very weird indeed. hmm.gif hmm.gif

as mentioned by azamen87, if it is hackable psp, then the only things required are: 1) memory stick and 2) pandora battery. if i'm correct (if wrong, pls correct me smile.gif ) pandora battery is originally the psp battery that is converted thru some process into pandora battery (but it is irreversible and cannot be used as normal battery again). so i still need to go to shop or go to someone that has pandora battery in order to fix this problem. so the option of doing it by myself (i don't have xtra battery) is out of the picture. correct or not?

there are 2 types of pandora battery.
1st=softmod (you can revert it bac to a normal battery and its safer this way)
2nd=hardmod pandora (you have to do and change something in the battery and this way the battery cant be reverted bac to a normal battery and its more dangerous 1 wrong step and ur battery might explode in ur psp  tongue.gif

in that case, could you recommend the steps on what i should do? i don't want to damage the psp (maybe up to the point it can't be fixed). really appreciate if the steps are thorough. i'll try my best to cope up with the tech terms. biggrin.gif
