Hi, I have a few question about psp battery:
1. Is it okay to play/use the psp when it is charging? Is there any effect on the battery? 2. If my psp is modded, can i take out the battery, plug in the charger and still able to play it? (like having an external power source)

Yes i mean playing the psp with charger without battery. (like laptop - you take out the battery but you can still use it if you connect it to an external power source.) I read about it somewhere. But i'm not sure if it's for a modded psp with cfw or for non-modded psp with ofw. I didn't try out cause i was afraid that if i take the battery out my psp would reset/brick or something. So i was wondering if anyone else on this forum had tried it before.
thank you, for replying.

my psp is not modded with chicken. It's using cfw 5.00m33-6. Will this still work with my psp?

QUOTE oh~ if dats the case, u got nothing to worry about~ absolutely nothing. thumbup.gif I've just tried it and yeah you're right. It works, no problem XD Since Kingdom hearts Birth By sleep is coming out soon and probably need an ofw to run, i want to temporarily change my cfw to ofw but i have a question before I changed the firmware: 1. My psp is hard-modded; can I still change my cfw --> ofw? 2. If I change my cfw --> ofw (latest: firmware 6.31, based on playstation website), can i still re-install cfw again later on?

hi, i also have some problem with my psp. a few weeks ago i bought a psp battery. But then while playing it suddenly turns off. When tried to switch it on again nothing happens. But when I tried plugging the ac and tried to turn on the psp it works fine. But the moment i pulled the charger out the psp turns off. When I checked the battery information it was weird... charge level : - Hours left : - Power source : external battery status : - I tried my original battery that i had when i bought the psp and a pandora battery. Both works fine, it was only the new battery that seems not to be working. Can anyone identify my problem? no... No one knows what's causing the problem? I tried to google and find out for myself but the people that are having the same problem as me never said what's the cause or how to fix it This post has been edited by Ganzxel: Oct 22 2010, 06:47 AM

Uwaah!!!!! So excited!!!!! The long rumored PSP-Phone has been leaked. It's like Experia + PSPGo. It's a definite buy for me. I've been stalking for a new phone for quite a while now... This is just a very grand excuse for me to actually buy one http://www.engadget.com/2010/10/26/the-playstation-phone/

Try to get the charger and plug it in and while the charger is still on try to turn on the psp. If it turn on, pull the charger out. If the psp died... then there's problem with the battery not the psp.
Your problem seems kinda similar to mine.
If it's brick, the power light should be blinking when you try to turn it on. but I'm not sure...
@adz83 - yeah. But sony would not be that stupid to consider the battery life... oh no i just jinxed it didn't i?
... no, i'll remain optimistic.
