actually i don't get it what you mean by format or reset psp
if you want to do reset on settings, it won't affect your psp at all
and format, are you referring to format your memory card?

hi using psp 3000 b4 this were using chicken r2 and yesterday i backup my games and put it back then can run chicken r2 already !
anyone can help ?

urghh my analog stick spoiled d...

if I push up... it tends to go to 10 oclock... or even when I aim for 4 oclock.. it still give some kind of I push it half way only..

Any idea how to DIY repair it? or just send to game shop? 

Guys I'm new to the PSP.. need some help here. I just bought a modded PSP 3000 with 5.03 GEN-C. I accidentally off my PSP and so need to restart the psp so that i can play the games again. when i restart it and go to the memory stick, it only showed the 5.03 GEN-C and no games. I was told that i could reboot the PSP if i just select the 5.03 GEN-C and could play the games normally again. However, when i select it it just says 'the game data is corrupt' and nothing happens..

Because i couldnt understand the PSP language at all i decided to check other forums...and some bloke suggested i turn off the psp and hold square+triangle+select+start then turn on the PSP again everything would be normal..

true to his word, when i checked the memory stick all the games appeared but when i try to run the game, it told me "the game could not be started".

I just wanna know what is the problem here and help please?

It wouldn't harm your stick. Just plug in the AC and the it won't run out of battery

@ laowai : Japanese PSPs come with O as the default select button. US ones come with X. (Just an example). Nothing complicated about this. A simple button swap in recovery mode would do the trick. Or a button remap (search for button mapping homebrew apps) would do just fine.

About the MP_ROOT folder, its for firmwares below 2.71 or 2.80 (Can't recall right). Sony then came up with the VIDEO method where you'd just have to dump the video file into it. No need for complicated file renaming (M4VXXXXX, or MAQXXXXX - If i recall right [Where X is any number]), and directory placement.

Of course legit sticks are better than fake ones. Fake ones may seem solid, fast, and whatever you might want to say, but when it comes to reliability, I'd give it a zero. Random save game corrupts, sudden removal of data, and boot up issues. No problems at all with my original sticks.

hey ppl, is thr any way to put chickHEN folder at another sub folderr? having trouble viewing my images if it is all put at the root of the PSP\PHOTO folder...

tried putting it at a sub folder PSP\PHOTO\ChickHEN but then that ChickHEN folder disappeared.  Any help?

Either the game is faulty or the gen version not uptodate
