if its a v3 mobo then no custom frimware can be use cause she update it to 5.50. her psp is 2k or 3k?  most probably if she just buy it and it already have 5.50 firmware, then it is  mobo v3.

so that mean she buy it along time ago? before the upgrade she install cfw? if she does, do you know what version is that cfw? another way to find out is to put in pandora battery in it, if the pandora battery can be run then its not a v3 mobo. if she doesnt have pandora battery, you have to go to shop that can downgrade (cause they have pandora battery), and ask them to check it for you.

Hey, guys, my psp can't activated, it got stucked at the photo page, then "pluk" sound followed, and the psp shut down.

There were no such thing happened before since i bought it 3 weeks ago.

Can anyone tell me what's wrong with it?

sifoo here..may i know what the plugin that will make your action of turning off the power to standby mode? i'm using MHUspeed and gen-C..so dunt want people suddenly turn off my psp..and i've got to do everything again..

alo guys, need help here, i just finish playing a game n go back to my psp menu with home button....then i want 2 play another one, but it says there are no games ? then i try restore default setting, but nothing change. what happen n what should i do ?

yea, but not every cfw can be used for upgrade.it depends on the version of psp and the mobo too.simply upgrade cfw that come across might just brick the psp.u can check previous post if u wanna to upgrade ur psp.

Hey guys....i bought a psp3000 that comes bundled with one original 'ratchet & clank' UMD game and one movie. Bought in Dec 09 (3 mths ago).

I'm no techie but everything works fine. However, there is a list of "actions" to be done (provided by the shop I bought it from)...especially if I ran out of battery while playing. I have to first...remove and place back the battery...turn on psp...look for 'chickhen'  (i think its an image file type)....reboot...then go to GEN-C 5.03....it'll auto reboot and voila...all games are ready to go. 

However, last nite the game I was playing (running fine all these while) suddenly hanged....so I performed the above 'task'...but this time it doesn't work?!?! Tried it a hundred times and it still doesn't work! 

Can some one please help me? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

hehehe. pretty shy, coz for some it may be stupid mistake. 

my psp is 2002 (according to the box). the last time i checked on the 'setting\system information', all numbers showed 'three' (3). not only the version as in 3.33, but other numbers as well (other information in 'system information'). very weird indeed.   

as mentioned by azamen87, if it is hackable psp, then the only things required are: 1) memory stick and 2) pandora battery. if i'm correct (if wrong, pls correct me ) pandora battery is originally the psp battery that is converted thru some process into pandora battery (but it is irreversible and cannot be used as normal battery again). so i still need to go to shop or go to someone that has pandora battery in order to fix this problem. so the option of doing it by myself (i don't have xtra battery) is out of the picture. correct or not?
