this is wicked cool cant wait for 6.20 cfw ^^

several sites had confirmed the exploit, so cfw is just in the matter of time
so lets sit back and wait for the good news, those who had updated their psp3k, your hope is back

What's the best custom firmware for PSP 3000 right now?  I wanna buy the GT bundle if possible, but am not sure if custom firmware can be installed on it.
*
if i'm not mistaken, the preloaded firmware for GT bundle is not capable of doing custom firmware as it is higher than 5.03
currently the most widely used psp3k CFW is 5.03Gen-C
there's another CFW call 5.03 DT-A, but its just about the same with gen-c

no worries la, if you're purchasing from reputable sellers or ethical sellers, most of the time they either inform you, or they include those CFW files and teach you how to activate it

Added on April 9, 2010, 8:55 amAgain i wanna ask u guys, what if i reset or format the psp,iz the OFW will be revert to its original firmware (whenn the psp was built.)?
*
actually i don't get it what you mean by format or reset psp
if you want to do reset on settings, it won't affect your psp at all
and format, are you referring to format your memory card?

have you try to boot your psp without memory card slot in? if you haven't try this, remove your memory card, then try to turn it on

if still cannot, try to run with ac adapter, see can run or not, because your case doesn't sound like a brick, a brick at least the power led will still stay on

plese help me.. icon_question.gif

you might want to consider sending it to reliable shops to check it out in this case, there's a comment in youtube link saying fuse problem(not my idea)

anyway, for those psp2kv3/psp3k owners who had accidentally updated to OFW 6.20, your hope of CFW is coming soon, as Eloader for 6.20 is already full functional with patapon demo exploit

okie thx smile.gif
i just to make sure that psp is under OFW 5.03 rite? so it can be mod.
then the memory stick must original eh?
sorry im noob, be4 this just play ps2 and pc only....
*
yup, make sure the psp is running OFW 5.03 or lower in order for you to run temporary CFW
memory stick not necessary required to be original, fake 1 will work as well but some report that fake mem stick tend to have problems like file corrupted but some are using it fine

there are alternative to memory stick, you can buy an adapter call photofast and use it with micro-sd, or you can use M2 with mspd adapter, both will work well
cost wise photofast is cheaper, speed wise i think photofast is faster provided u get high class of micro-sd

Hi all, want some advice here.

I am thinking of purchasing another PSP to play original games. Currently, I have a PSP2000 so i am thinking of getting a PSP3000 or a PSP Go.

Which one should I choose? I have no intention of installing CFW on the new PSP (You cant install on a Go anyway).
*
it depends what game you planning to get, not all games got PSN version
and also self preference on screen size, some prefer a bigger screen, so they'll go for 3k instead of Go
some prefer Go because of smaller size for handy

Since PSP 3000 and 2000 do not have much difference, i am inclining towards Go. But thinking of purchasing all those games that I want to play = wallet bleeding.

Decisions, decisions..... cry.gif
*
i'm mentioning PSN its because Go doesn't have UMD drive and no CFW, so your games must be from PSN, certain games doesn't release PSN version, i think kingdom hearts is one of them

go look for 5.03 Gen-C, "install" it, then find 5.03 Prometheus, "install" it, and try again

oh..actually you can opt for PSN games for cheaper solution while waiting for it to be cracked
but now i think latest firmware is 6.30, but the hackers are working on 6.20 i think

lets just sit back and hope for them to settle it soon laugh.gif

tq icon_rolleyes.gif  .. cuz when i bought it theres 5.03 gen-c and CFWenabler3.50. i'm afraid of any conflicts. so i preferred 1 reliable cfw to use. can i safely delete the CFWenabler3.50? it doesn't hav any effects rite?  sweat.gif

another thing is the setting for clock speed. does it have any bad efects if i change it. as rite now all is set to default.

thanx in advance for response
*
as long as you don't delete Chickhen folder and 5.03 Gen-C then u are good to go

if possible leave clock speed as default, higher clock speed drains battery faster.
Certain games will automatically set clock speed higher due to more intense graphic and etc
put it default will do
