It told everyone that as long u go spend 20 years of your life starring at the blackboard, u could end up having a certificate that will determine your future career....education= investment in financial security

Now even the kids were joining the financial investment tongue.gif

I feel the difference between the graduates here and in the western countries is over there students choose courses based on their dreams, while here the students choose courses based on how easy it is to find jobs.

Quality is compromised when a person is forced into doing something they have no passion for.
OMG!

i feel there is no much difference between a student studying overseas over studying locally just because majority of the malaysian used to mix with each other just like they were living locally with minimal or no interactions among foreign students overseas.
that is one of the most pathetic state of education.

The standard level of education in a country affects many issues from economic growth to social issues.
Which do you want to focus on?

I hope this is not an assignment from your school/college/uni. Even though from the way you phrase it, it looks like a homework tongue.gif

And it would be sincere of you to start the ball rolling by giving one or two paragraphs of your personal opinions rather than soliciting from other members.

It is already an unspoken rule (backed by a moderator once I think) for the topic starter to get the ball rolling by providing adequate material for discussion, instead of a single sentence. So yes, please do not answer the TS's question unless he actually makes this into a more serious discussion.

From what I can infer, he's just asking for homework help.

Yes he can, which is why you should not spoonfeed him if this is not a real discussion. If he can help by contributing to the topic, then so will I.

Education in Malaysia must be appalling, because apparently our students are going to forums to answer their thesis or research papers. You didn't even bother to have an introduction of sorts on your POV on this matter or what you would like to focus your research upon.

I apologise if I appear extremely blunt, but I really do tire of the lack of initiative shown by students. Stop asking and start finding out please. My goodness, we have a whole generation of mentally incapable students who can't even google or pay a visit to a library to find out about the local educational system.

Please show some respect to your parents who have worked so hard to put you in school.
