Hi all,
Need some confirmation on the byond requirement, installer was onsite and tested the existing signal and the reading is about 55-56, then he told me the cable is not good. a new cable or booster is required. I wonder is there such requirement on the minimum signal.

thanks

The installer tested using his meter on the existing LNB, which i can also see from decoder menu option 2. I have no issue watching all the existing program. Then he told me the signal is too weak for byond and because byond is a high end product and need at the signal at 65 and above. haha he mentioned high0-end smile.gif

well, since all my cables are concealed, he offer me a solution with rm80 booster... i am just curious is there such requirement.

Power down itself? yes, this happen to me twice, the decoder just power itself down while watching the program, no prior error or warning. called cs and still waiting sad.gif
