Human nature is always like that, when u are pamper with HD u complain about SD quality, my advice is be patient, n let astro slowly change from SD to more HD channel

Hi, i just update the firmware ( dated FEB 2010 ) but turn out to be a problem. Firstly i cant excess my sd channel from HDMI setting like before, everything SD channel seem overstretch but set to HD channel no problem WTF, before that the older firmware ok. I even found out the setting for stretch have been change to zoom. Anyone face this problem after upgrade the firmware.

That's what we are complaining now in this thread...
*
But i have discover to overcome the overstretch, using the analogue cable for SD channel seems fine but when u want to watch HD channel then u have to switch back to HDMI.

yea... i do the same things now...
Watching SD channel using component @ AV2 IN...
but when want to watch HD, return back to HDMI IN
really headache now....

No choice for the time being, its just that we have to switch from digital to analogue from time to time until astro verify the firmware.

Well, everything was done by the Installer.

They change the dish and put the new cable. They asked me if I wanted to use the existing cable or not from dish to decoder but I insisted them to use the new cable and they have to drill a hole to let the new cable into my house. No choice. They also then asked me if I wanted to take away the old cable from dish to decoder but I insisted them to leave it alone.

Then, when they were configuring the Byond decoder, I saw them select the transponder no. 18, the last one before User Defined. So, it showed me the signal strength is around 241 to 244.

Once in a while, I checked the signal strength and it still showed me around 241 to 244.
*
I have been getting 255 signal strength the day i install my byond until now, whatever transponder i set is also 255. thumbup.gif

WOW !!!! That's must be a good Installer.........he is able to align the dish exactly pointing to the satellite i guess.
*
Actually my area of reception is very good, before that, the old decorder i am getting around 93-95 also, about 5-7 marks to maximum of 100. Even the installer dont believe until i show him my signal strength.

drool.gif  flex.gif ........looks like you are staying on top of a mountain with no inteference to the signal from the satellite.

Hehe.......... laugh.gif

Its not staying on top of the mountain, forgot to tell u guys i install a signal amplifier n at the same time my area of reception is also good without mountain n building blocking.
